Wink was dumped at a shelter at the ripe old age of about 14 and then picked up by RAGOM after reports that he was the sweetest old guy. He WAS a sweetheart! Unfortunately, he was also in a lot of pain from arthritis, old injuries and a new diagnosis of cancer. We were hoping to give him a loving home for the final few months of his long life. Despite around the clock pain meds for the last 3 days, his quality of life was not good. Wink was sent to the Rainbow Bridge this morning and is running pain free. Somewhere along the road, Wink lost an eye and it was sewn shut. So someone cared for him. Wink appeared to never be at a loss for food as he was overweight. He was well fed this weekend too! Scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and lots and lots of cookies.
We quickly found out that he loved his tennis balls :) He also had the classic Golden head bump--hitting your arm to get head scritches. I hope he had those scritches for his whole life.
Say 'woof' to all of our other RAGOM Rainbow Bridge pups, Wink--and give them a real wink from me.
