Hi, everyone.

My name is Gabe and I came into the RAGOM family on September 29, 2015, with my three brothers Flynn, Grant, and Bogie. We are all Goldendoodles, but I think I am the only one that got the real Doodle look!

Let me tell you about myself. I was born on July 28, so I am just a mere 11 weeks old and cute as can be! I have been in foster care for two weeks now and am having the time of my life! I have met a bunch of RAGOM dogs on various outings and parties and I get along with everyone I meet! I read doggie signals pretty well, but sometimes have to double-test a dog just to make sure they reconsider how sweet I am.

I love to run, climb, crawl.

I have been on a number of walks with my friends and am really great on-leash; just ask my foster mom! I watch my foster sisters and friends and try and imitate them. Once in a while, I get distracted by a blowing leaf or a good smell, but come when called and a slight tug on the leash so I don't get behind the pack. I can't go as far as the big dogs, so I get carried sometimes too to catch a break. As soon as I catch my breath, I start squirming to have FM put me down so I can walk again. But FM says I am growing like a weed and getting bigger so those riding sessions won't last for long!

Walking with my crew

Here I am with Nicole, a former breeding mama. The moment she met me, she LOVED me and I love her too! I love hanging out with her and see her frequently. She teaches me so much!

I am an active little guy, but also can be mellow and love to snuggle too. I know how to sit and wait patiently for a good treat and pet and like to be picked up and kissed and told what a good boy I am. Stick-chewing is an all-time favorite activity for me, so I have to be monitored with that. OK, monitored with everything right now...

My days are fun-filled as I get to go to daycare at a couple of other fosters' houses and get lots of socialization time. I stay active during the evenings with my foster family and go to bed really easily and sleep through the night.

My favorite animals are Lamb Chops! I love to snuggle with them and play.

And after my adventures, I enjoy chillin' out!

My FM wants me to communicate that even though I am a special boy and mellow right now, puppies are A LOT of WORK! A person or family wanting to adopt me must be committed to obedience training with me using positive reinforcement so I grow up to be a great member of a family and a joy to be around and have the time to spend with me. I totally adore being with people and other dogs and want to be out exploring my world. FM also says that Doodles to require A LOT of grooming too! Both my foster sisters are big Doodles and keeping them mat free and clean and trimmed are considerable work. So you will need to take me to a groomer every 4-6 weeks for haircuts or learn to groom me at home. Additionally, combing me out a few times a week will be required.

My FM says that I am having a "procedure" at the end of this week and will be available to meet potential adopters after that. So if you are interested in meeting me, please contact your placement advisor.

Thanks for reading.

Updates

Hi, everyone!

Well, I had a super busy week to tell you all about! I met this new little guy named Reggie last Sunday and he was cute as a button and tiny! Finally, someone smaller than me! He is my friend Chester's new little brother.

After a full afternoon of running around and playing with everyone, I was getting pretty sleepy. FM had a hard time getting a good picture of me because I wanted to rest.

Oh-so tired

Nicole slept over so we could hang out and play and have some quality time. She likes to pamper me.

Relaxing with Nicole. I love snuggling with her.

And the biggest news of the week is I found my forever family! Hurray for me! They came to meet me and immediately fell in love with me. I have a new big sister named Myrtle. We had a blast playing in the back yard and in the house too. She is sweet and playful and I think we will be great together.

I will miss my foster family so much and I know they will miss me too. FM says I really wiggled into their hearts in record time because I am so darn cute and sweet.

Thank you RAGOM for taking me and my brothers in and finding us all forever homes.

Just a quick update to show off my first haircut! I am feeling FINE! Not sure how so much hair can come off of my little body! I sure do love all of the pampering and FM says I will be a groomer's dream.

Have a great weekend.

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for the long time since the last update. I have been a very busy guy this fall. I go on lots of walks with Nicole and my foster sisters and hang out with lots of friends at 2 different daycares.

We sit so nicely, waiting patiently for a treat

I am growing like a weed and up to 25 pounds and much taller. It is easier to drink from the tub now with my foster sisters. And I like to play in the water too. Here we are rehydrating after playtime.

Saturday morning, FM gave me a bath saying I needed to get spruced up. Can I just say I like to be pampered? Being cuddled in a towel and then blow dried is the BOMB.

Last weekend, I got to go to my first Meet-and-Greet. I think they should just call them parties! I had so much fun and got to meet a bunch of RAGOM dogs waiting for their forever homes like me. Gustavus was there too.

Well, that's about it for me for now. Gotta go get some beauty rest. Tomorrow is another fun day at daycare!

Hi, everyone!

Can you believe this awesome fall weather we are having? Mid-October and it feels like late summer! I am having a blast in foster care just waiting for my forever family.

I had a busy couple of weeks since my last post. This week, my FM has a week of vacation, so we are hanging out at home, getting outside chores done in the fresh air. Plenty of walks and playtime to be had too!

Just giving my foster sister some attention.

Here, my foster sister and I are busy turning sticks into kindling for the fire pit.

For the previous two weeks, I got to go to daycare that had LOTS of kids. I love kids and are gentle with them. Sometimes I did have to be reminding not to put my mouth on them, but I correct really easily. At my age, I have to explore everything with my nose and mouth!

I also got to attend a birthday party for the pups of mama Nicole. That was so much fun and my brother Flynn was there too. I am a very social guy and do well in crowds of people and dogs.

Party hats are meant to be chewed!

Flynn and me hanging out in the tunnel.

I have learned so many valuable life skills from my foster sisters. I mastered large flights of stairs two weeks ago (ok, there was some crying going on as I was learning).

Taking a break on the top of the stairs after successfully climbing multiple times

Other skills include:

Taking a nap on the big bed and enjoying the comfort of the pillows

Drinking cold water from the tub

Other than growing like a weed (up to 18 pounds now), I am doing great. I had my neuter surgery last week and it didn't faze me a bit. I am healed up and ready for adventures.

I am still working on potty training and do great in my crate without accidents. However, with free roam, I haven't quite gotten the hang of giving FM good signals, so she still takes me outside every 15-20 minutes. She hung some bells on the door and is working on teaching me to ring the bells or bark at the door when I need to go out. I am sure I will catch on soon. I am food-motivated, so training should be easier for me as I love to please people too.

Have a great week and enjoy the weather!
