Yoshie 09-403

Profile

Yoshie is a delightful and playful PB Golden boy.  He is a very light colored, with even lighter feathers and a small amount of the whiter face that Golden’s exhibit as they age.  He just celebrated his 7 year birthday and still maintains his perfect figure at a healthy 64 pounds. He is totally housebroken and enjoys sleeping near our bed at night.

He’s gotten along very well with all the dogs and people he’s met. Recently, he had lots of fun playing with our two young grandchildren, age 3 and 6.  They loved him and the feeling was mutual.  Toys were shared with no guarding issues at all.  Yoshie loves to walk around the house carrying a minimum of two toys that he favors. He also LOVES Milk Bone treats dipped in peanut butter – a rare treat for special activities.

We’ve been training him to sit and stay with the use of small treats and it’s clear, he’s a fast learner. We have a large fenced-in area behind our garage and he enjoys going out to potty and run around for awhile.  The weather is a little cold to spend much time outdoors.  His previous owner took him out to a dog park and let him run free.  When he wanted him to come back, he rang a bell and Yoshie responded right away.  His owner (since Yoshie was a puppy) had a serious medical event and was no longer able to care for Yoshie. He has since moved to a foreign country. I’m sure Yoshie misses him.

We are looking forward to taking our first walk this afternoon and will report again soon.
