This is Zeus, one of the most gorgeous goldens I have ever seen. He is long and lean, weighs about 90 lbs. His coat is a beautiful dark red. He appears to have been well cared for as he has no mats and is clean.
When we got home last night he was quite frightened and when he saw the kennel set up in the sunroom, he ran into it immediately and laid down. He then gradually came out and did a little exploring of the sunroom and kitchen. Today he is feeling quite comfortable and has explored the entire house. We have been on several walks and he loves being outside. He does pull on his leash, so we use the Gentle Leader. He eats with gusto and is drinking alot of water today. He still gets startled now and then by noises or fast movements, but is doing very well for only being here for less than a day. He didn't want to sleep in the kennel last night and I didn't push it. Instead he laid down on a blanket outside the kennel door and I didn't hear a peep out of him all night. No accidents in the house, however, he doesn't seem to have a signal that I can tell that means he wants to go out. He rides well in the car. More later as I get to know him better.
