Zeus was adopted in 2008 and was returned to Ragom today through no fault of his own. Zeus is now six-years-old. He has been here since this morning (Saturday), so I have a quick update. He met my two dogs with zero issues. He met the cat and barely glanced at her. He is totally housebroken....he didn't even mark on his first pass through the house. He has checked out the yard and the main floor of the house and seems settled in amazingly well. The transporter told me he rode nicely in his SUV too. I ran to the store to buy dog food and Zeus stayed home in a crate, he went right in and laid right down. All was quiet when we returned.

I've trimmed him up and he loves to be groomed. The only grooming left is a nail trim and a bath (once the humidity goes down). He came with a canister of food and we'll transition him to what I feed (Fromm's salmon grain-free) over the next couple of days. He is all up-to-date on his shots and since he's returning Ragom dog, he already has a microchip and has been neutered. We will visit the vet in the near future for a wellness check.

So far, Zeus is perfect. He's handsome and has just the right amount of energy. He has lived with kids, other dogs, and cats. So far, I think he'd be great in any type home. I'll update again as we get to know him.

Zeus has had a busy week. He's done being groomed, he let me trim his nails and he loved his baths. He still needs a couple more baths to help his coat. We went to the vet today. He weighs 73 pounds and only needed one vaccination. The vet thought he looked great. He does have some minor skin issues which should clear up now that he's on good food. She thought we should bathe him weekly for a while to get his skin and coat into better condition. His ears are fine and she recommended we clean them weekly...and for his adopter to continue that practice. He was super good at the vet clinic and enjoyed the attention immensely. He is great in the car and he was really happy to get back into my SUV to go home after our appointment.

He is a super easy dog to have around. He doesn't seem to have any storm anxiety, or any issues at all. He is very obedient when outside as well. He enjoys my dogs but he really doesn't need them around.

We haven't been able to walk since he arrived because they are redoing all of the streets and sidewalks in my neighborhood and there is no place to walk safely. I'll see what I can do this weekend....hopefully they won't be working on the streets so maybe we can take a walk or two.
