Zoey and new family; Cheryl, Mike and Duke
Zoey is doing wondefully! She gets along with all the other pets, walks like a dream and perfect manners when meeting other dogs and children. She has met my staff at work and was just fine. She is getting more content and feeling a little more secure. She is not scared of storms. She is now giving KISSES....! She has an appointment to be groomed and I am sure will be even more beautiful than she already is. Her warm, soft personality is coming out now. I know she truly is missing her "first home" and still wondering where she is and what she is doing. I feel she needs a placement sooner than later due to her becoming attached and still 'looking for home'.
She is in super good shape, a great walking, running and talking companion. She likes other dogs and I think would need the security of another dog. I think she would do best in a home with someone around more than not. She is so cute! She lays with her back legs spread apart when she is feeling a little warm or pooped out! So cute. Zoey has eyes of a true rescue who is glad to be 'taken care of and a person/family to be with'. She does not bark. She will whine a little when I leave, as if she is being left once again. That is where another dog would be helpful.
There are absolutely NO agressions, guarding or anything with Zoey. Just a wonderful 7 year old who loves the outdoors and I am willing to guess, has been on a farm and enjoys seeing birds, other dogs, etc. Sniffs to make sure she didn't miss anything the first time around. She rides very well in the car. Likes the window down for fresh air versus air conditioning. She is quiet all night. Zoey knows her commands very well - sit, stay, and come. Loves to be brushed and was fine with feet trimming. We are very blessed to be fostering such a good girl. It is difficult to 'see' in her that she misses her 'first home' and is confused yet. Zoey is very content here however, and loves to be with you and the other pets! She is fine with cats. Such a sweetheart and one who really needs a place to call forever and ever now.
