Zoey has happily joined her forever mom and dad and canine sister Maggie.  Zoey loves them already and will live the good life, for sure!!  Here are shots of resident dog Lacy saying goodbye to Zoey and then, one last happy tussle.

Hi, Zoey here!  What a life!  I've been here 48 hours now, and I haven't had to be without my foster mom more than a few hours during the day!  I like that!  My former family chose to surrender me to RAGOM because they were gone 9 hours a day, and I had to stay in my crate during that time.  When they got home, I was really excited to see and be with them, but they didn't appreciate my enthusiasm  They also didn't have time to exercise me.  So, I had a lot of pent up energy.  I need exercise to use up all that energy.  I am a still kind of a puppy after all!!

Hey, I have discovered a new form of exercise that I LOVE!!!!!  Look at me!!

We take walks here too, and I like that!  I'm pretty good at it unless I get distracted!  Running is really fun, but Foster Mom (FM) poops out way before I do!!  Sometimes Lacy (resident dog) runs and plays with me, but she's 5.  That must be old because she's nice, but kind of lazy.  FM has started using a Gentle Leader for me on our walks.

I've been thinking about my forever family and here are some things I'm hoping for:

  • a family who can leave me alone four hours or less per day.  I don't want to be home alone so much.  I love to be close to my people
  • a family who will love to play and exercise me as much as I love to play with them
  • a family who will reinforce the commands I already know and help me learn much more
  • a family with another dog, a kid, a fenced in yard might be nice, but not nearly as important as a LOT OF LOVE AND ATTENTION.  I'm ready for that!!

FM keeps telling me that I am the sweetest dog ever and that I'm a diamond in the rough.  I guess that just means I'm a pretty special pup waiting for that perfect family to adopt me and help me become the best dog I can be...
