Zorro 11-341

Profile

Introducing Zorro! He is one of Hope's (11-318) 10 puppies. He is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! He is one of the big boys and is the second largest puppy. He has a mostly black coat with 3 tiny white dots in the shape of a triangle on his chest. Zorro was born on Saturday, 9/24 making him 4 weeks old! Zorro has wavy ears and an extra fluffy coat, I think he will have a longer hair coat like his mama! Zorro is a very funny puppy :) He keeps us laughing the most because he is so daring! He doesn't care if he falls in the food bowl or does a somersault going out the sliding door... he is going for it! He was the first one to take a turn at drinking from the water bowl! Zorro is a super snuggler and is sweet as pie.  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppies LOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Zorro has to stay with us and his brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but he is ready to meet that very special family that he will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Zorro. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure the puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Zorro was the very first puppy to pick his family... and he did just that! The "B" family spent a lot of time deciding on just the right match for their family. They thought they had decided... and started leaving the puppy area. Instead of joining the sleeping puppy pile Zorro stood up on his hind legs and looked at them as if to say "hey people... I'm the ONE!" It worked, and now he will be a member of the wonderful "B" family :)

Zorro is a big fluff ball and is cute as can be! He has a stockier frame and is a big solid boy. He loves the tunnel we have down in the puppy area and sends my son into a giggle fit when he zooms through :) It is so adorable!! Zorro is a champion snuggler and one of the leaders of the puppy pack. He has his neuter surgery coming up on 11/23 and a few days after that his family will come and he will move to his new home. We are very excited for all of them! Way to go Zorro!

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose.

Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family!

All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;)

I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :)

New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
