In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Date Posted Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
9/8/16 Not required  Not tested  Optional Not tested
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Here is Buddy!  And, what a buddy he is!  He loves everyone.  He is happy, friendly and energetic.

Not much is known about Buddy’s past, but he is ready to find a forever home and live the Golden life – a life that will include lots of love and attention….and lots of fun energy burning exercise!  He is a mellow guy, but young enough to need lots of play time.  He came into RAGOM knowing come, sit, and no…also, to “kennel up”.   He literally bolts into his crate when asked to “kennel up”.  He might let out a few yips at first, but is then quiet the whole night.   Although he is a very good little guy, he’s not perfect (yet!).  A couple of things he needs work on…leash skills and stay command.

Buddy would prefer a forever home where his humans are home most of the time.  He would love a doggie playmate or a human that will run with him or adequately exercise him every day.  I have not kid tested him, but I think he would love kids, but probably over 5 for their safety as he could accidentally knock smaller ones over.  He also has not been around cats, but I hope to cat test him soon.

Buddy will be at Goldzilla, and he would love to meet you.

Below are some pictures of Buddy playing outside.  (In the group picture, he is in the lighter Golden on the right.)

Buddy has been adopted & found a family that perfectly matches all of his needs.  Buddy will have a fur sister to run & play with & a Mom who will give him the direction he needs.  His new family will keep him active with walks, runs, swimming & of course his favorite activity fetch.

Congratulations Bud!

Buddy went to the vet last week and is in perfect health and is scheduled to be neutered this week.  Buddy will be accepting applications!
Buddy has settled nicely in to a daily routine.  He wakes up at 6am , goes outside to potty, then back in for his breakfast.  He waits patiently all day while FM goes upstairs to work. Buddy is baby gated in the main level of the house. The only time FM hears from him is if he has to go out, then he will let out a bark. After FM is done with work we go for his walk. Buddy can hardly wait for FM to get ready so he can go exploring. After his walk it is time for Buddy to eat his supper which I must say he eats nicely. Buddy spends his evenings chewing and playing with his bones, which he loves to thrown into the air. Buddy goes to sleep around 9pm and sleeps through the night without a peep.
Buddy is the perfect house guest and a very easy dog to take care of. If this sounds like a routine you would enjoy, please consider adopting Buddy.

Buddy has been with us now for one week and here is what we have learned about the handsome guy:

  • He loves to go on walks but needs to work on not pulling.
  • Rides nicely in the car.
  • He respects baby gates.
  • Is good on a tie out.
  • Loves cuddling & all the attention he can get!
  • Is not afraid of thunderstorms.
  • Gets along with other dogs.
  • Does not counter surf or beg.
  • He has good recall & doesn't appear to be a flight risk.
  • He does not like to be left alone and will cause trouble.

Buddy still needs to be neutered and will be seeing the vet this week to determine when he will be able to have his surgery.
