Zoe is a 5 year old female Golden Retriever, surrendered to RAGOM from a breeder. Her date of birth is May 20, 2010.
Zoe has been with me for a week now, what a sweetheart! She is very friendly with everyone, She loves little kids and will get into their face and lick them. For this reason she should go to a family that has older children, 9+ She may knock down a younger child while trying to give them some love.
Zoe is doing great with taking care of her business outside! She is crate trained and sleeps in one quietly all night. During the day she will go into the crate and take a nap with the door open. We do crate her when we need to leave the house for a few hours. She has done great with that.
Zoe will need to have a dog friend in her forever home. She is learning how to be a inside house dog. A dog friend will help her learn and keep her company when her family is away from the house. She loves to have dog friends to follow around. She looks to my two resident dogs for guidance.
Zoe is always looking for a pet or some love, she is at my feet looking up at me often. It is hard to get a good picture of her. I let her outside with my two dogs and came inside to take her picture through the glass door. That worked out well! Zoe is the one on the left.
Zoe is getting used to living in a house. She has been very friendly and I only heard her give a growl one time it was the first day she came. She was in the crate chilling out and she saw my two dogs coming up from the basement she gave out a growl. Once we took them outside and brought Zoe out to meet them everything was fine. Tonight as I was typing up this update she was laying on the floor by my feet, she started growling a little bit. I wasn't sure what her problem was then I realized she saw her own reflection in the glass TV cabinet. She thought there was a strange dog in her house. She is a silly girl.
Zoe had her vet check up, she does have three types of worms, I am giving her medication to clear that up. She also has a double ear infection and is on some medication to take care of that. Zoe has to be spayed and then will be ready to find her forever home. She was pregnant and lost her last litter, her body is not back to normal yet so she will have to wait 3-4 weeks before she can get her spay surgery. She can meet family's interested in adopting her but will not be able to go to her new home until the spay is completed.
I will update again soon as I learn more about this beautiful girl!

Sweet Zoe was adopted today! She has her very own family and they are wonderful! They have adopted from RAGOM before; Zoe will be their third RAGOM dog. Thank you to the H family for giving Zoe such a great future.
Zoe is such a sweet dog and will be missed by everyone in our home. As sad as we are to let her go, we are so happy for what comes next for her. Her forever home!
Already got an update from her new mom; she is settling in nicely and has found some soft stuffies to carry around!
Zoe is doing well! She is learning a lot about living in a home with a family. She loves everyone. She is always wagging her tail and has a big smile on her face. She has come to love the soft dog beds and I have found her chewing on a bone or two.
She travels well in the car. We have taken her to the lake with us the past two weekends and she does great in the car. She spends most of her time sleeping on the long drive. We have a very large fenced in yard at the lake and she loves running around and looking for creatures. She likes climbing on the wood pile and laying in the leaves soaking up the sun. Two weeks ago it was snow, last weekend it was leaves.
