Hello! Since June 11 was his seventh birthday, I thought it would be appropriate to send an update about Bailey! We lovingly adopted him in April, and couldn't be more pleased with our new family member. The family that surrendered him clearly took excellent care of him and loved him a lot, because he is the sweetest, most well-rounded golden you could ask for. He came to our house and settled in almost immediately. He loves our girls (ages 5 and 8) so much, and makes fast friends with everyone else he meets! We can't thank RAGOM enough, as we just feel so lucky to have found Bailey. He is the perfect golden and just what this family needed!

Monday, Feb 8, we had to say goodbye to our precious and loving Bailey. The last few months were tricky for Bailey and his silly back legs. Even with interventions for pain and arthritis, it just wasn’t enough to keep him comfortable. He let us know over the course of the weekend that it was time, and he was tired of the pain.
Bailey came into our lives from RAGOM in April of 2015 as a silly and quirky 6 year old boy. He immediately fit in and bonded closely to my daughters, then ages 5 and 8. I can’t even believe we were lucky enough to become his chosen family, as I remember there being quite a few applicants for him.
He was a perfect golden, he loved to be outside and he loved to take naps. He wasn’t much of a “snuggler” but still preferred to be in the same room as his people.
He loved to sleep in, and would hilariously move from bedroom to bedroom to remain with whichever family member was sleeping in the longest. Only when the last person was up and out of bed would he go outside and eat his breakfast!
He had a penchant for cheese and ears that would hear even the slightest sound of a wrapper, or crunch of a chip, even from a different floor of the house. He was simply amazing!
He made our lives better in every way, and we’re not even sure how to move on from a dog like Bailey. We can’t thank RAGOM enough for bringing such a sweet and perfect boy into our lives!
We miss you, Bailey Boo! May you finally rest in pain-free peace.
