Hi everyone! My name is JJ and I am a 6-week-old PB Golden Retriever! I joined the RAGOM family on Saturday, November 9, 2013, along with my momma Nicole 13-351 and my 6 brothers (Bixby, Chester, Oliver, Sawyer, Winston) and one sister (Samantha).

We all came from a breeder that was retiring due to health issues and he wanted all of us to find great forever homes.

Now let’s talk about me. I am the smallest of all of the pups and at 4.5 weeks old, I weighed 5.3 pounds, which is over 2 pounds less that my fatty brothers Bixby, Chester and Oliver. FM thinks that they probably pushed me outta the way a lot at mealtime with momma. That’s OK, cause I think my smaller size makes me really adorable. A lot of people that meet me instantly fall in love with me. Well, at my last weigh-in on Thursday, I am now a whopping 7.5 pounds! A 2.2-pound gain in 9 days. FM is making sure I get my fair share of food!

Though I am still the smallest, make no mistake, I can hold my own against all my brothers, and even my sister. Sometimes they pick on me, but I get right up and give them the business! Sometimes I think I shock them…hehe. I love to be cuddled when I am getting sleepy, but if there is a bunch of action going on, I need to be a part of it. Here is how I sleep sometimes.

We are on a good schedule for playing and sleeping, with different people coming in 2 times during the day and some at night to help socialize us with people. It is incredible how many super nice people are out there, both from RAGOM and outside, that are willing to spend time bathing, playing, and even cleaning up our messes.

Here is big brother Chester trying to teach me to touch my nose with my tongue. He says I can’t be adopted until I can do this. Not sure if I believe him, cuz he is a prankster.

Saturday morning was D-Day, as in Denied-Day, so no more milk from momma Nicole. I am already missing that special time. But I know we have to grow up sometime.

As for my medical stuff, we have all been dewormed and have had our first distemper vaccination. The vet said none of us have any heart murmurs. We do have giardia, and finished up our treatment. We have to wait another week to retest to see if we got rid of the nasty little bugger. Thankfully, the diarrhea has stopped for six of us, so FM is SUPER HAPPY about that.

All of us will go see the Dr. for a “procedure” on December 10 so none of us will be moms or dads. We will be available for adoption starting December 12. It would be great to be in my forever home in time for me to send in my change of address card to Santa before Christmas two weeks later.

Remember, even though I am small, cute and cuddly now, I will grow up to be a full-size dog in a very short time and I will need lots and lots of love, patience, exercise, obedience training and adventures in my life. I would totally love to have a brother or sister or two in my new home, but it is not required. We are available to meet potential families now, so if you would like to meet me, please contact your placement advisor and ask for “Pretty in Pink JJ”!

JJ has officially been adopted and spent her first Christmas with her new family.  Her new name is Sadie.

She will be living close by in the Twin Cites so FM is happy that she will be able to see her from time to time as she grows up!

Congratulations to the T family!
