Hi everyone, it's me Lexi and I have fantastic news to share with all of you. I'm adopted!!! I had a busy couple of weeks. First some nice ladies came to meet my best friend Jessie and they took her home with them so she could have her own forever family. I was kind of sad when she left as we played and hung out together all the time. But foster mom kept me busy.I got to go to two meet and greets and had a super great time. I love meeting people and other dogs and everyone was so surprised how social and happy I am. At one of the meet and greets a very special family came just to see me. They really liked me and said they thought I was just the type of dog they were looking for. The are a busy family and wanted a dog that was an extrovert.......foster mom says that describes me pretty well.
A couple days later the family that met me at the meet and greet came to my foster house to spend some time with me. I showed them all my tricks, like chewing on jacket sleeves, pulling at clothes and mouthing hands and arms. Foster mom told them to go home and think about if they really wanted to take on a puppy in an adult body.....cause that's what she says I am. Well, turns out the family knew before they even left my foster house that they wanted me but they made sure to think about it and then let foster mom know they wanted me and were sure they could work with me to help me learn proper manners and keep me safe. I heard foster mom say I will be going to obedience school very soon....don't know what that is but if there are other dogs and people there, I will enjoy it.
On Saturday I went to another meet and greet and got to see Santa. I did not have to tell Santa my Christmas wish as I knew my Christmas wish was already coming true......my very own forever family was coming to pick me up the very next day!!!
So now I am in my forever home. I have three human brothers, one is in college but two are home and will give me lots of attention and play with me. I also have a really nice mom and dad and a canine brother to keep me company. My new folks said I am doing well in my new house and already took a nice long walk with my brothers, both human and canine.
I am very happy to have my very own forever family and love living in a house with people. Thank you RAGOM for making my Christmas wish come true.
Your friend Lexi.
