I would like you to meet Raye; he is 6 and 1/2 weeks old and is fostered in Inver Grove Heights. He is a Golden Retriever. He is one of five pups born in this litter! He has made his way into our RAGOM family by way of the Animal Humane Society. His mother was one of the 132 dogs seized from Pine River in July of this year. This was a puppy mill operation that has now been shut down. The Humane Society was caring for all of these dogs and while in their care, 80 puppies were born. This was a very big endeavor for them and they asked for our help. We fostered the Golden Retriever dogs for them. When the case was settled and they won custody of the dogs, they let us keep 9 of the dogs: five puppies too young to leave their mother and 4 adult dogs too scared and afraid to be adopted out at the Humane Society. They know we have rehomed puppy mill dogs with great success! We will find them the best forever homes!

That is Raye’s story; now let’s talk about what he needs. He is a cute, cuddly, sweet puppy that is going to turn into a wild, biting, chewing and sometime naughty dog. Are you up for the challenge? He will need training, patience and a lot of love. He will in turn be your best friend and return that love! He is up to date on his shots and will need to be neutered in a few weeks before he can go to his forever home, but he is ready to start meeting families. If you would like to meet him, contact your placement advisor.

Raye has found his forever family. He will be spoiled by his new mom and dad and will get all of the attention - well, he may have to share a little with the cats! His new family had already planed a trip for next weekend, so Raye gets to stay with me a few extra days!!! Moms should not have a favorite, but I do have to say Raye is my little buddy and I will miss him the most. I'm not sure why, but Raye is the smallest and the only boy, and the girls do pick on him, so maybe that is why he has made his way a little deeper into my heart. I could not be happier with the family he will go to!!!
