Marley 13-247

Profile

08/30/2013:

Please welcome Marley to RAGOM! Like the rest of his litter, he is learning where to do his business! Most of the puppies leave the sleeping corner and head over the the business district when they need to do their thing. This is fantastic because learning to leave the nest for this activity is the first step on the road to potty training! You can watch a video of the puppies here .

Marley will be in foster care for another four weeks or so while the puppies are weaned and get altered. If you are looking for a friendly little boy to share your life with, contact your placement advisor!

Marley is now 12 weeks old and weighs in at 22 lbs. He received his 12-week shots with his brothers and also received a clean bill of health and has a well healed neuter incision. Marley is the biggest of the three in my home and also eats 2 cups kibble in the morning and early evening. He and his brothers, Auggie and Remmy, have their own bowls so everyone gets an even share.

Marley is less active and more likely to be more gentle with less typical puppy nipping or chewing of human hands. He loves to have his ears rubbed with full body strokes. He is also more likely to lay next to you quietly on the sofa. Marley comes to command and sits waiting patiently for his treat. Presenting knuckles first with treat tucked under and not fingers forward at this age will at least save your fingers from those puppy teeth. He will kennel up 90% of the time when asked and loves to play on the stairs with his brothers. Leash walking is similar to his brother Auggie and, of course at this age, is a learning experience.

Marley would love to find his forever family. Let you placement advisor know if you would like to meet this fellow.

Marley is one happy puppy and loves to play all the time. Marley has completed his neuter and is doing well. Marley weighed in at 16 lbs like his brother Harley, so they are the biggest of the four in my home. While Auggie is content to be next to foster mom, the other three are off creating chaos hiding under the chair, playing tag around its legs. They no longer can fit under the entertainment center which they often played peekaboo with each other grabbing at each other's legs. But, alas, they can't do that anymore so they antagonize the residents. The resident girls and Finn have taught them, like their mama would have, to knock it off, I have had enough already. The pups have learned well and listen when they are told off. Marley could use some remedial work on taking treats nicely. Like his brothers, they can get a little rough if treats are given as a group, but individually he is better at taking them nicely.

Marley is now 8 weeks old and the more rambunctious of the four pups here in my home. He is often the instigator in seeking play and roughhousing with his siblings even if they are quietly sleeping.

Marley is the largest of the four and like his brothers eats as if there will be no tomorrow. He is most often the more active of the group and less inclined to seek human affections BECAUSE he is having too much fun exploring and playing.

Marley also sleeps from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am and is ready to roll out for potty, food, and play first thing in the morning. All the pups are at the same stage of learning to potty outside but still at this age they have accidents and this gets better as they mature.

Marley will be neutered with his siblings on Oct. 15 and then ready for adoption after recovery.

All Miss Scooby's puppies are growing like weeds! They are eating hard food and lapping water from a dish -- and are pooping and peeing machines! They will go for their first shots at the end of this week and then will be leaving their super-awesome momma. Though they won't be with Scooby, they will still be with at least one other littermate for the next few weeks to continue to socialize and learn the rules of dog-dog interaction.

Who can resist those sad eyes Mr. Marley is showing off for the camera???
