Harry/Rusty is approximately 5 yrs old, mixed golden.  He was found as a stray and went to the shelter until being temporarily adopted.  At the time a great family took my in The shelter called him Harry but the family thought he should be called Rusty so that's why he has too names. He had an altercation with their son's male dog who would be spending alot of time with them. They decided it would be best for Harry/Rusty to go to a different home and RAGOM took him in.
Rusty has been living with our family for about a month... He is living with two female goldens who are seniors and he gets along wonderfully with them.. Until they try to steal his food.. he doesn't like that at all.  I can't blame him for that.
He is house trained knows his name is Rusty, takes treats very nice and gentle... He sleeps on the bed in the middle and loves attention.  He doesn't get on any furniture other than our bed, he prefers to sleep on a pink blanket in the living room while watching television.  Rusty loves to be around people and has gone the distance in finding his comfort level.  He has started to come down the basement with us or by himself.. It was such a switch for him that for a couple of days he just exercised going up and down the basement stairs.. it was new for him.  We found out he is a little bit afraid of thunder.  Not bad storm anxiety but he just didn't like it very much and wanted to be close to me.
Rusty is a quiet fellow but will bark outside once in a while.. he has a muffled bark and since he has relaxed and feels at home with us he started talking to me... I will rub his head in the morning and say how did you sleep and he will moan.. he is a funny happy guy.
Rusty isn't a big counter surfer but has done it... He managed to take a can of opened spam from his previous home and at our home managed to take a can of tuna off the counter... he loves spam and tuna.. but not together.  :)
We don't know anything about Rusty's past but the present is wonderful.
