Lily 13-147

Profile

Let me introduce you to Lily! She's a little girl, 57 pounds, and is 7½ years old. She is spayed and up to date on all shots, and has had her heartworm preventative as well. She came from a breeder and has been busy the last 2 weeks learning the Golden Life!

She now knows her name, which she didn't seem to when she came to us. She is not fond of her sister, but is loving the Beagle we are babysitting for a friend.

She has learned to go up AND down stairs, YAY! She found that if she goes upstairs, she can sleep in our room with us and that makes her feel much safer.

Lily is very timid and scared. The dog in the oven (her reflection) gets a good growl out of her, as does the one in the fireplace. She much prefers women to men, as men's voices are pretty deep. Her FD's is, anyway!

We almost have potty training down, but we're almost always home so we just take her out periodically. She does go all night and is anxious to get out in the morning.

She is not a beggar. No table begging, no counter surfing, no bad habits. She loves to be in the same room as her people, but not if the TV is on. That is a scary thing!

Going for a walk is not in the cards yet, as she is much too afraid of cars and anything loud. Lawn mowers, weed whips, and motorcycles all make her run for her safe corner.

She does, however, love kids. She has a very gentle touch as she raises her right front paw to put on our lap or shake or pet a child!

She found tennis balls and certainly knew what to do with them. Fetch them if someone throws them, and chew the cover off it! She loves to chew stuff up. She also loves to RUN. I let her off her leash in the back yard, as she hates the front due to traffic noise. She will run full power from one corner to the next, and smile the whole way.

Lily has a ways to go on becoming the Golden she deserves to be. But patience and love work wonders for this girl! Is she the girl you've been looking for?

Lily and her sister, Daisy 13-146, were reunited recently after 4 months! They had a great time playing, running, and being the Goldens they were always meant to be. (Note: Lily is the blonder of the two.)
