Greeting from Grand Forks, ND and a hearty welcome to Mr. Joey 12-429.  He is one of 10 puppies born to Annie 12-425 on November 22, 2012.

A hunter found momma out in the middle of nowhere and brought her home.  Two weeks later, on Thanksgiving day, she delivered the pups.  Unable to care for 11 dogs, he contacted the local shelter.  They were unable to handle that many dogs so the shelter contacted Prairie Paws Rescue  out of Jamestown, ND.  They in-turn contacted RAGOM to see about placing the dogs with us, and of course, RAGOM said YES!  So, many, many, many kudos & thanks to Prairie Paws Rescue  for all their hard work in getting these wonderful dogs to a warm and safe place to grow!

Joey is darker golden in color and has 2 white toes on his left front foot.  He weighed 5.05 lbs at the vet yesterday where he received his first distemper combo vaccine, bordatella vaccine, and was dewormed.  He will need to be neutered and then he will be ready for his adoptive home.  All puppies are adorable at this age, no question.  But they come with a lot of baggage as well.  Such as continued veterinary care until their round of vaccinations is complete, and then yearly vet bills after that,  obedience training, housebreaking, chewing on everything, etc. You must be willing to commit your time, patience, finances, love, & kindness for many years for many years.  If you can do that, please contact your placement adviser about meeting this gem!

You know that special family that comes into your home and wants to adopt your foster dog? Well, that family walked into my home last night and it was a match made in heaven! Joey met and instantly took to the "B" family and they to him! He is travelling home to Minnesota today nestled amongst a wonderful family who will love him and care for him always. Thank you so much for making the long drive, I know your journey together is going to be filled with many crazy adventures, but OHHHH what fun you will have!

Best wishes,

Foster Mom, Jessica
