Titus 12-296

Profile

Greetings from Grand Forks, ND!

Welcome to RAGOM Mr. Titus 12-296! Titus has been with us for just about a week, after a long journey from Arkansas where he was found as a stray. Thank you to all those "southern neighbors" for getting this adorable puppy to us here in the Northern Tier!

Titus approximately 5 months old. He just lost his last canine tooth, still has his puppy molars and has his adult incisors in. He is neutered, started on heartworm preventative, and up-to-date on his vaccinations, although will need a booster on his distemper/parvo in a couple of weeks. He listens very well and has had no accidents in the house. He sleeps in his kennel all night and when we are gone, otherwise, he has free roam of the house. He loves all dogs, has only had one encounter with our cat and she scared the daylights out of him so doubt he will investigate her anymore! He doesn't mind be held and "rocked" by our kindergardner and loves, loves, loves to play!

Leash walks are a work in progress as he zig-zags quite a bit, but we are working on that! He is small and I doubt will get very big as an adult. At 5 months, he weighs 15lbs, so an educated guess would be that he will perhaps double in size to be a medium size dog. Titus and I will be at Goldzilla on Sept 22 if you would like to meet him in person!!!

For Titus' forever home, it will need to be someone who is willing, committed, and able to commit to training, obedience, daily excercises, and lots of love. He is a puppy and with it come all the natural antics of a dog his age...especially the picking up of things that are laying around the house, the chewing, the non-stop energy. These are all normal puppy behaviors to be embraced as appriopriate, not bothersome!

So, if you think this great little guy is for you, please contact your placement advisor!

Hello!

Mr. Titus continues to grow and charm his way into the hearts of everyone he meets!  He is your typical puppy in that he is adorable, cuddly, and gets into things!  He has actually improved vastly in this department is and very familiar with the term "leave it".  He sits nicely on command and knows "off" as he often gets too excited and will jump.  A simple reminder and he sits and waits to be petted.  Great progress in the training department!  He was accident free for two weeks and then, unexplainably, had an accident (pee) over the weekend.  Not sure what that was about, but since it happened, I will not say he's housebroken completely.  He is completely kennel trained, goes into it willingly and is in it when we are gone and at night time.  Titus loves car rides and going for walks!

As I've said before, he is great with kids, loves to play with other dogs, is afraid of our cat, and has no bad habits to speak of.  He makes himself quite at home around here and is comfortable in our busy household!  In the evenings, when it's nice and quiet, I will sit on the couch and read and he just nestles himself right in the crook behind my knees and falls asleep.  So sweet!

If you are interested in learning more about Mr. Titus, or meeting him, please contact your placement advisor!  He is so looking for that fur-ever home!!

Our first snow has fallen in North Dakota and it's only the beginning of October...YIKES!  Titus was very unsure of it yesterday and it took him a few minutes to figure out how much fun it is to play in the snow!!  However, once he realized how fun it is and how good it tastes, it's been all about going outside now!!  Such a puppy!

Titus is a wonderful addition to our crew here, but I know he would love to be a part of a fur-ever home!  He is a piece of cake!  Typical puppy in that he plays hard and sleeps hard.  He rides beautifully in the car, goes into his crate and sleeps there peacefully, waits for the command to eat and will sit on command.  We are working on "shake", "down", and "leave it".  He is great with other dogs, afraid of our cat, and loves children.

Titus is a small guy, and will not be very big at all.  However, what he lacks in size he makes up for in personality and charm.  Right now he is just about 6 months old and weighs about 17lbs.
