This peanut did not have a name given to him so FM gets to name him. Meet Trekk! He lives up to his name as he is Trekking most of the time.

Actually when awake they are all busy pups. Our day starts out ( sometimes earlier than others L) with FM letting out the big dogs. By this time the pups are a crying and puppy barking… Wow they can make a ton of noise in the morning. I then let the pups out on the deck. I have secured a fence next to the door that allows them to go out on 1/3 of the deck. It is in the shade area which is really great in the evening. It takes a little maneuvering to get nine pups all going in different directions to move as one out the door. Unless of course I am walking then we have no problem cause 5 hang on one leg and 4 hang on the other leg and out we go. I call it the puppy shuffle. Everyone gets pets – lots of pets and greetings. Tails are wagging to beat the band! Once out they head for the fence as they get distracted by the big dogs in the yard. FM then makes an escape back in the house to clean up their room for the day. ( I must be kidding myself when I say the day – lucky if it lasts 10 minutes once they are back in – LOL). Journey will visit them during the night to feed them still once a day. I think she really goes in there to eat all the excess puppy food. And yes, their poop. Disgusting as it is....I have said out loud some mornings “Bless you Journey as there is less for me to clean up”! They use the puppy pads occasionally. Puppy pads make for great shredding toys so, they have not been as affective as they once were. If they are down they will pee on them. But I look at it this way, I can take a paper towel and wipe up the pee or I can pick up a thousand pieces of wet soggy blue pieces of paper/plastic. I purchase paper towels at Costco. The package is about the size of a SmartCar. First package - Gone – I am working on package number 2. Once the floor is clean and water and food dishes (lots of dishes – remember there are 9 and they almost all need their own dish now) I open the screen door and whistle. It is a stampede as they charge back in. A whistle means pets, scratches and food all of which they love). Big dogs get to eat next. I don’t even want to know the conversations those guys have had between themselves ( “we used to be the first to eat, she used to give us lots of pets, we have not been to the park in….6 weeks, do you really think they are staying forever? “ ). A quick shower for me and brush my teeth. All dogs go out again – repeat the clean up in the room and back in they come. Big dogs in the kitchen – they actually get treats and out the door I go. I have been late to work – only a couple of times I am proud to say. Whew!

Trekk has met a wonderful family who wants to adopt him. More to come on the family.
