Jayne 12-004

Profile

Jayne arrived into RAGOM’s care on Sunday, January 15th and is currently fostered in Lino Lakes, MN.  Jayne is a Golden Retriever mix and she is approximately 2 years old. She was originally found as a stray in northern MN.

Jayne has been a wonderful house guest. She is so sweet! She has only been here seven days and she has adjusted to family life very well! She is great with our three kids ages 13, 12 and 8 and our resident yellow lab. Jayne thinks she is a lap dog, she sleeps in bed with us and she likes to play. She is VERY affectionate and is not shy about seeking attention. She will nose or nibble to get your attention and she eats it right up! She leans into us for more and more petting, ear scratches and kisses. She loves to be right next to you. Jayne has been allowed on the furniture in our home.

Jayne has a lot of energy. We can tell that she would LOVE to go running once or twice a day with her forever humans. She does pull on the leash when walked but with some training and maturity she will become great on the leash. I think she just wants me to run with her and I am not in that kind of shape. She keeps looking at me as if she’s saying, “hurry up foster mom!”.

Jayne is potty trained and she knows basic commands of “sit”, “stay” and “down”. She rarely barks and is quiet when crated while we are away from home. She is reluctant to go into the crate but is fine once in there. We give her a small treat as she enters the kennel. Jayne is past the puppy “chewing” stages...she will grab a sock, shoe or hat to carry around but she does not chew them up.

Jayne is spayed and will be up to date once she visits our RAGOM vet this week. She has a beautiful, soft coat and pearly white teeth.

Jayne will need the following in her forever home:

basic obedience training/manners
recall training
a watchful eye as she likes to run and is easily distracted by all the interesting things outside
a fenced yard and/or tie-out while outside
a family that can walk/run her daily

If you can provide Jayne with this type of care and a loving home, please contact your placement advisor
