Timber 11-438

Profile

Welcome this handsome boy to RAGOM land! Timber just turned 2 this January, Male, Neutered, all up to date on shots. Timber was staying outside in a kennel and the family had to give him up because they no longer had time for him. You can tell he loved being with his family, he lived with children and with one of the pictures you can see does well with them, big or small.

Timber is a beautiful dark red color, he is about 10 lbs. underweight, you can see his ribs and back bone so we are feeding him lots to get him fattened up some. He is young, so of course full of energy but very good in the house. He would do well with an active family, someone who likes to go running. He has long strides when he runs. He will make a great family dog with children or without. As long as he gets his exercise!

His first night here and since he has slept on the bed, and has done very well. He does like to be on the furniture also, I'm sure he could be trained not to be, being he is so young, but he really prefers to be where his people are.  He rides well in the car. He stays in a crate while we are gone, until we can test this further. He loves to run and fetch the ball, but will not bring it back to you (yet), you go to him to get it, and he runs the other way. But gives the ball nicely when you catch him. So of course some kind of training would be helpful. When we comeback from a walk, his leash lays on the ground in the fenced in area and as you can see from the pictures he likes to grab his leash and hold it in his mouth. He does pull some on the leash when walking, so needs some work there also.

So if you’re an active family on the go and looking for a beautiful dark red youngen, he may be the one for you. Stay tuned.......

So Timber went to the vet today and has a clean bill of health. He weighs 68 pounds now so he has gained 5 since being here and he could use it.
He has a cracked tooth that is not bothering him and will just have to be watched. He has a small hernia also that is causing him no problems and the vet
said nothing should have to be done with it. Everyone there just loved him and he soaked it all in. He is a great dog.

He is for sure a people person, he wants to be where you are! He has had free roam for about 4 days now and as long as there are no shoes laying out, he does
great. He has a thing for shoes we found out, just carries them around so far, but we of course don’t let him, don’t want him thinking shoes are for play.
He has had NO accidents in the house and knows to go outside for potty. He loves to play fetch but still does not want to bring it back, he would rather have you
chase him. So his energy level outside is great but once inside he calms right down. He is so friendly and gentle, very handsome!
