Lola (Goldie 11-314)

Profile

Meet RAGOM's newest honorary Golden, Goldie. She is an absolute doll and such a sweetie. Goldie is a 2 to 3 year old mix, not sure what she is mixed with but she looks like a miniature Golden, she only weighs 15lbs and is very petite. She is spayed, UTD with her shots, hasn't had an accident at the house, has definitely been a house dog as she knows what a lap, a couch, a bed and chairs are for. At this point it appears that she could be an only dog - she loves attention, or she could have other dogs in the household. She wants to be in the same room as her person and will just either curl up in your lap or curl up on the floor beside you if are stationary for a time. She has a lot of energy so a fenced yard would be a plus. At this time she jumps up on you for attention (I'm working on that) but so far that is her only bad habit.

She came to the Cities on Saturday on a transport from MO. She had another 1-1/2 hour ride to get to the campground where I was spending the weekend and she did great. She rode well in the car with me, I didn't have a crate with me so she sat on the armrest between the seats and looked out the windshield until she got bored and then she just curled up in my lap and went to sleep. She met my dogs without incident and also met all the campers at the Fry-fest like she had known them all her life. The first night it was pretty cold and we were at the campground in the rv so she snuggled under the covers and slept curled up next to me all night. She'll meet my grandchildren this weekend and I will let you know how she does with them, they are 3-1/2 and 5 years old. She has also met my alpha cat and let him know that she won't take any of his guff, so she is definitely cat savy.

I'll try to get a few more pictures sent in so you can see what a little charmer she is. If you are interested in adopting Goldie please contact Placement and they will get ahold of me.

Hello Everybody!!! I am FINALLY here to update about Lola!!! :) Or as some of you know may know her, as Lola. (We renamed her Lola a few days after we adopted her). We are starting to put Lola out on the tether again, and she is starting to like it! She likes wandering around the yard, and checking things out. I tried running with Lola a few weeks ago to burn her energy, but she didn't take much interest. I think the only exercise things Lola takes interest in are, Biking/Scootering & hanging out on the tether outside. Also along with some occasional fetch indoors. She is still her same old, cute, cuddley & princessy dog though ;) Her and Little Boy our foster dog from MARS, are STILL best friends, and are growing closer everyday! Hope you enjoyed reading about this short update of my cute, little Lola Belle!!! :D

It turns out Lola is starting to like the dog park! The first time we took her she didn't seem to enjoy it too much, and didn't play that much either. Although the second time we took her, she LOVED it! She was playing and chasing other dogs, and also played fetch with me occasionally, (her human sister). Lola has really, really sincerely grown on our family! Her nickname we sometimes call her is Lola Belle. This weekend from Sunday to about Friday, we are going to find out how Lola would like another dog to join our family. I don't think she is going to like it one bit in the beginning because we even had a little tolerance problem when my mom held my guinea pig Cowboy so I could clean his cage. I mean seriously! She got mad over a guinea pig. When I was done cleaning the cage and my mom put Cowboy back in his cage, I went to go sweep up the extra bedding that he kicked on to the floor; and my mom sat on the couch and Lola didn't even flinch or move a muscle towards the couch. That is VERY unusual for her because she LOVES to sit next to people and get constantly cuddled, rubbed and pet. Then finally after about 5-10 minutes, she decided she couldn't live without attention. Lola is a TOTAL BABY DOLL- in a complete good way though!!!!!!

Hello everybody! This is Lola speaking! Welcome to the Lola talk show!

Well, first things first. I just want to give a big smile to my foster mom, Sue! I am so excited for a new year! My new year’s resolution is obviously to get my human sister to play with me more, take me on more walks and lastly, CUDDLE ME MORE!

I also have a guinea pig brother named Cowboy. None the less, I sometimes have a strong prey drive for him. I mean, he's always making weird sounds, and it makes me VERY curious!

Well, my new owners keep saying I'm so brave! It turns out, I'm not so brave after all! Here is why: So, it was probably about 9pm on January 11th, 2012 and my mom was in the dining room and my human sister was in the computer room doing her homework. Anyways, so I was sitting next to my mom and then I started sensing something in the cabinet where we keep my dog food. Then, so I signaled my mom to come over there and then when she opened the door a RAT RAN OUT OF THE CUPBOARD!!!!! Then my mom screamed and my sister came running screaming even louder! (It scared me!). Then I ran behind my mom's legs. Then I tried to get a snip out of it but it was too fast. Then, I ran behing my mom's legs AGAIN and that's where I stayed until my sister picked me up. So, the point is, is that I'm not so brave after all.

Having a great time taking a nap all bundled up nice and warm!!!!
