Guinness 11-340

Profile

Introducing Guinness! He is one of Hope's (11-318) 10 puppies. He is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! He is one of the smaller pups with a mostly black coat with a white star like marking on his chest. He was born on Saturday, 9/24 making him 4 weeks old! Guinness is a boy that often is the first puppy I pick up! :) It is almost impossible to tell them apart without looking at their markings... so he just has a special charm about him that says "pick me!" He likes to play and has the cutest little bark when he gets excited :)  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppies LOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Guinness has to stay with us and his brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but he is ready to meet that very special family that he will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Guinness. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure the puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Guinness continues to be a very sweet puppy! He has longer wavy ears and will most likely resemble a Golden Retriever with a black coat as an adult. He will no doubt be a handsome boy :) Guinness has earned a bit of a reputation around here... he did some digging under the gate in the great puppy gate escape the other day :) The little stinker had a dirt filled nose and paws.... caught dirt handed :)

Guinness has a very special family waiting patiently to take him home! He will have a fellow RAGOM dog for a brother! What a lucky pair! :) His new mom and dad have visited him twice and his mom is hoping he will be a "mama's boy" - I think she will get her wish! Guinness seems to love falling right into that role :) He will have to wait about one week before moving to his new home. He has his neuter surgery on 11/23 and then will be heading of into the sunset a few days later. We are so excited for all of you! What a great match :)

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose.

Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family!

All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;)

I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :)

New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
