Gracie (Decker 11-336)

Profile

Introducing Ms. Decker! She is one of Hope's 10 puppies. She is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! She has a mostly black coat with a large white stripe that starts under her chin and ends under her belly. Decker (as in "Black and Decker!)  was born on Saturday 9/24, making her 4 weeks old! Decker is one the big girls and has adorable wavy ears! She is darling :) Decker is a very social girl and loves meeting new people. She is one that finds her way into many laps. She loves sharing her sweet puppy breath kisses!  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppies LOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Decker has to stay with us and her brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but she is ready to meet that very special family that she will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Decker. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure they puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Decker is sweet as can be! She is always at the center of the activity and is gorgeous! Decker has a fluffy coat and long wavy ears and will most likely resemble a Golden Retriever with a black coat as an adult (with a loooong white stripe down her neck and chest). Decker is a social girl who loves to wrestle and play with her siblings. She also loves when people come to visit and is often the first one at your feet asking to be picked up. Let me tell you... it works! :)Decker is a stunning little puppy and her good looks are not the only thing she has going for her... she is a little love bug and loves to give kisses.

Decker will be seen by the vet on Tuesday 11/22 for a distemper booster and then spayed on 11/23. Following her surgery she will is ready to move to her forever home! She is still searching for that very special family that will be hers forever and always. Please contact your placement advisor if you are interested in meeting this beauty and welcoming her into your home.

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose.

Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family!

All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;)

I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :)

New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
