He does not like to be in a kennel, but does well with free roam. He sleeps in our bedroom at night on the floor. Mason also gets along with our two resident Goldens.

It's been a little over a month, but it is with much sadness we are reporting the passing of Sonny Boy (formerly Mason 11-196) on September 27, 2019, due to cancer.

He was the most wonderful dog and loved by all who met him. He especially enjoyed time at the lake being with family. But he had a hunter's instinct - no squirrel, rabbit, or chipmunk could rest when he was around. With people, he was always gentle, though, whether a toddler or someone in the nursing home.

We shall miss him.

Mason is a purebred Golden Retriever. He was found as a stray, so we don't know his age, but he is estimated to be between one and three years of age. He is up to date on vaccinations and negative for heartworm and Lymes Disease. Mason weighs 74 pounds, but needs to gain a little weight. He will be neutered on Tuesday.
