Maggie 11-163

Profile

Maggie came to me because her parents were going through a divorce and they couldn't have dogs.  She was used to living with another dog in the home, so I think she was lonely the first couple of days.  We gave her lots of attention and she soon warmed up to us.  Taking her for a walk was a breeze as she stays right with you.  She's 8 years old and doesn't walk really fast.  We found out she likes to chase tennis balls in the yard, but will only do it 3 or 4 times then has to rest.

She got a good check up at the vet, and we started her heart worm pills.
This girl is pretty close to perfect.  No countersurfing or begging.  She's housetrained, she will just come and nudge me when she needs to go out.  She sleeps on the floor by our bed and goes straight through the night, even the first night!  When I leave, I put her in the laundry room and prop a baby gate at the door.  She stays just fine.  She will snuggle if you get on the floor with you, but will not jump on the furniture.  She does bark when people come to the door but just a couple of times to let you know someone is here.  I try and take her in the car whenever I can and she likes it, but doesn't hang her head out the window like some dogs.  Just looks out and sometimes lays down. She's light colored and just a sweetheart.
