Here is little Mr. Patrick. What a warm soul. He is about 4 mo. old, male and a PB golden. He weighs in at about 26 pounds and looks to be a pretty big boy. He is very mellow and very smart. He has had eyelid surgery. His eyelids were flipped at birth which caused the eyelashes to rub on the cornea. Both eyes were done but not sure how well. Patrick has alot of tearing especially in his right eye. I am in the process of getting this looked into. He also has extremely bad dander issues. He has had skin scrappings and all is clear from anything contagious. I am looking into this also. He was placed on antibiotics which cleared up his runny stools. He has had most of his shots, but we are waiting for him to get better before we finish the final shots.

He has adjusted well to our home. There are many children from ages 7-15 running around and through the house, he doesn't mind the attention at all. He has learned sit and has gotten a treat when he goes outside to go potty, now he will go potty and sit at your feet for a treat, so cute. He learned kennel in about 10 minutes and will go in there with the door open for his naps. He does pretty good for about 4 hours and then needs to be let out. I am working on his feeding, he tends to scarf his food so fast that he gets sick, so I have been hand feeding him to slow it down some. I think it is because there are two other dogs around and he doesn't want to share. He is not aggressive if I put my hand by his mouth when he is eating but he will lay down and hug his bowl and shove his nose down to the bottom to hold it down so you won't pick up the bowl.

He loves the car and does really well with travels. He does pretty good on walks he pulls alittle or lags behind, kinda all over the place but he is just a baby. So, besides the dander and eyes, he is a soft bundle of joy and a fast learner. Stay tuned as I think he will be ready to update himself next week.

Well, not much to update health wise.....dander is getting a little better with one bath a week with medicated shampoo. He has slowed down with the eating, I think he realizes that his food won't be taken from him or eaten by the other dogs now. His eye surgery is on hold for the moment as the vet thinks as he grows the eye will correct itself, or that if they do it now and he grows real big that it may over correct and he would have droopy eyes. Patrick loves to ride in the car and is so good about it. He also loves to chew so we have purchased a buffet of chew toys for him so he is not distracted by the wooden table legs or chairs haha. He will be neutered shortly so we shall see how that goes. He does really good with people of all shapes and sizes and also does really well at baseball games. His potty training is coming along good as we are only down to a few mishaps every once in awhile mainly our fault for not recognizing his signals. Here are some updated pictures as he is growing like a
weed. Stay tuned...........
