We thought fostering Golden Retrievers was the best......and then a Golden Doodle named Buddy stole our hearts! Buddy is such a loving, affectionate guy and he's so easy for our two resident dogs to get along with. Since Buddy became a Ragom dog he has touched the hearts of so many people. He was actually adopted out to a loving family but sadly, for reasons beyond their control, he had to be returned to Ragom. We owe it to Buddy and his first adoptive family to find him a wonderful home.
Buddy's fur is so soft and he doesn't shed, he's the perfect snuggler. At only about nine months old he has a lot of spunk and puppy energy too. Buddy seems to know basic commands although when he's really excited he has a tough time sitting his wiggly butt down.
We tried Buddy out in a crate during the day and he seemed to be anxious in the crate and had an accident. At night he slept in our room outside of a crate and did just fine, no accidents and he slept through the night. Buddy is house broken however he has trouble controlling his bladder when he's extremely excited or frightened. We think he will do fine as he gets more used to a routine and his surroundings.
Buddy was hesitant to get in the tub for a bath but after a few minutes he was fine and stood there patiently while we cleaned him up. For being a guy who originally came out of a puppy mill, Buddy is extremely well adjusted and outgoing. We don't have human kids of our own but he gets along great with them according to his previous owners. Watching Buddy open up a little more as he becomes more comfortable in our house is such a joy to watch, this handsome guy is going to make some family very happy!
