We thought fostering Golden Retrievers was the best......and then a Golden Doodle named Buddy stole our hearts! Buddy is such a loving, affectionate guy and he's so easy for our two resident dogs to get along with. Since Buddy became a Ragom dog he has touched the hearts of so many people. He was actually adopted out to a loving family but sadly, for reasons beyond their control, he had to be returned to Ragom. We owe it to Buddy and his first adoptive family to find him a wonderful home.

Buddy's fur is so soft and he doesn't shed, he's the perfect snuggler. At only about nine months old he has a lot of spunk and puppy energy too. Buddy seems to know basic commands although when he's really excited he has a tough time sitting his wiggly butt down.

We tried Buddy out in a crate during the day and he seemed to be anxious in the crate and had an accident. At night he slept in our room outside of a crate and did just fine, no accidents and he slept through the night. Buddy is house broken however he has trouble controlling his bladder when he's extremely excited or frightened. We think he will do fine as he gets more used to a routine and his surroundings.

Buddy was hesitant to get in the tub for a bath but after a few minutes he was fine and stood there patiently while we cleaned him up. For being a guy who originally came out of a puppy mill, Buddy is extremely well adjusted and outgoing. We don't have human kids of our own but he gets along great with them according to his previous owners. Watching Buddy open up a little more as he becomes more comfortable in our house is such a joy to watch, this handsome guy is going to make some family very happy!

We offered to foster Buddy 11-121 upon his return to RAGOM, and he immediately stole our hearts.  I guess you could say "He had us at Woof".  Besides being an incredibly sweet, snuggly, and well mannered 80lb lap dog, Buddy loves to wrestle, chase, and play keep-away with our pack - particularly Ted 08-211 - they wear each other out!

Buddy Boy is doing so well and has acclimated to living in a home nicely. The potty training is going well and we are going on 5 days with no accidents! We have learned to limit his water as he loves to drink! I think one of these days he is going to develop a hump on his back which represents that of a camel! We affectionately call him our little camel…silly boy. Buddy loves his walks! We spend every night walking around the lake and it is especially hilarious when we get to the sandy beach. He tears around in the sand jumping straight in the air and making circle! It is quite the sight. I have to prepare myself or I will get all tangled up in the leash! Buddy is one popular dog as I get stopped at least once during our walks and people ask me if he is a RAGOM dog and then they typically say “Hey, that’s Buddy Boy, I just read about him on the site!”

Buddy is the sweetest most cuddly dog in the world. He loves to sleep with me for part of the night, but recently he will hop off of the bed and go into his crate, lay down and let out a loud moan…too funny! He is so gentle and sweet and will bury his head into your neck and snuggle. This sweet boy will definitely need obedience training, like all puppies do. He is so smart that I anticipate him doing very well at training.

Buddy is so ready to move on to his forever home. If you think you would like to make Buddy a permanent part of your family, just let your placement advisor know.

Buddy arrived at my home yesterday and he is so sweet. Buddy was the last of a litter and the family was going on vacation and needed him to be cared for, so he is now a RAGOM boy.

Buddy was born on 12/05/2010 and he is a cream colored Golden Doodle. He weighs 40 pounds, is UTD and micro chipped. We were busy getting him UTD on all his vaccinations today! Buddy is going to be a big boy, probably 75 lbs or so. His feet are HUGE!

Buddy will definitely need another confident resident dog in his forever home. He has already learned that doorways are not scary and we are working on potty training. Because he was an outside dog, he needs to learn a house and everything hat comes with that!

Buddy is very sweet and loving and playful. He will need someone that will take him to obedience training to teach him manners. He is definitely all puppy and is adorable when he plays bouncing and jumping around! He loves to play with resident Stella. He slept all night in his crate quiet as a mouse. Buddy will need to be neutered before he is adopted, we will work on getting that arranged this week. More to come as we spend more time with Buddy Boy : )
