Hi, I’m Marley. I’m approx. 1.5 years old. I was found as a stray, but I have been in a home before and like to live in houses instead of on the streets. I’m a Golden Retriever/Lab mix weighing about 75 pounds. I’m neutered, micro chipped and UTD on all my shots. I’m housetrained and have had no accidents while with my foster family.

I’m the first foster dog my family has had. At first I was a bit hesitant about getting in the car, and whined a bit, but after a bit I settled down. At first I didn’t know anything except shake. I now know how to sit, and am learning to lie down, stay, and come when my name is called. I love treats, and they make learning things a lot more fun. I enjoy following people around the house because I don’t want to miss anything. I LOVE attention and am very playful with the resident dog. He’s only 11 pounds, but we still have lots of fun. They have two kids (ages 7 and 5), and I get along great with them. I let them give me treats, my food, and don’t mind if I am being petted while I eat.

Playing outside in the snow is SO much fun! I get to romp and roll around inside the fenced area they have in their back yard. I haven’t tried to escape even though the fence is about 1.5 feet shorter than it should be. My fosters have put up several baby gates, and I stay on the side I’m supposed to, which is what they do when they go out. My foster Mom has taken me for several walks. I love going and its so much fun. I start out pulling a bit at first, but settle down pretty quickly and walk well as long as I’m not distracted by birds or animals. I haven’t been around cats yet, but they look like they could be fun. Hopefully I’ll get to meet one soon and find out if they like me too! I do like to try and sneak out the door when someone leaves the house because I want to be with people, but I haven’t done anything destructive around the house for the times I have been left home alone. I haven’t been in a crate, so I’m not sure if I would be ok in one or not.

My foster family very much enjoys having me around, and they keep talking about my forever home, and what a great place it will be for me. I can’t wait to meet them some day. Are you my forever home?
