Welcome Daisy!

Daisy is a 3.5 year old PB Golden Retriever.

Daisy came to our home (Clearwater, MN) a few days ago. She is our first RAGOM foster and I tell ya, she is the sweetest most loving dog. We have had a wonderful time getting to know this gentle soul.

We just brought her to the vet and and she is HW negative and UTD. She was given some ear cleansing product because her ears were a little waxy, she could lose about 5lbs, so we will be working on that and they recommended that her new FURever family think about dental cleaning.

What we know about her:

  • Her SO loved her very much and it shows!
  • She is GReat with kids.
  • She is housetrained, and will go in the crate with a treat.
  • She is a velcro dog and loves to be around her humans.
  • She gets very excited to go outside and for walks, so we are working on the little bit of jumping she does do.
  • She is not picky, she could be an only dog or have other fur brothers and sisters. But if other dogs are around, a good introduction is needed. She was vocal with the other dogs that came into the vet. Once she gets to know the dog she will be fine, our resident and her just started playing and even laid down next to each other.
  • Not sure on how she would do with cats but she was interested in saying 'Hi' to the cat at the vet.
  • She takes treats nicely.
  • I don't think she has a high prey drive and so I don't think a fence is needed, we don't have a fenced yard and she does fine on the leash.
  • She doesn't really respond to her name, but the vet thinks that may have to do with her ears. So we will get started on cleaning out those ears.
  • Lastly, she pulls sometimes on the leash (that has been when our resident dog and daughters are in front), but mostly walks right next to you.

We have fallen in love with this sweet girl and I know she won't last long. If you are interested in Daisy 11-041, please let your placement advisor know.
