Jack 11-007

Profile

We are proud to introduce Jack. He was surrendered by a family who was unable to give him the attention he needed.

Jack is a beautiful young man who is full of energy!! Loves to play with our resident dog who is a female, and with Jack not neutered yet, he likes her more than she cares for some times. But Jack takes the warnings she gives and they have learned to play nice together.

Jack knows basic commands, sit, come and down. He loves to play outside and jump in the snow banks. Jack sleeps in a crate at night and when no one is home. Enjoy the pictures!

Jack is starting his third week with us. He has recovered from his neuter and is up to date on all of his shots and a bath. He has settled into his life as part of our family. When we are home, Jack has run of the house. He also has run of the house at night. He prefers to be with us all the time. As you can see from the pictures, we let Jack snuggle with us on the couch as well as the bed, but he can be a bed hog! When we are not home, he is in a crate.

Jack has been introduced to several other dogs, in addition to ours. Jack seems to have very little experience meeting other dogs. When he meets a dog, he has a lot of energy. To an older dog, this may be un-welcome. He has trouble learning the cues of 'leave me alone' and can sometimes take them to mean 'let's play'. Jack loves to play and seems to have endless energy. He really likes to be outside and take snow baths. If Jack is to go to a home with a resident dog, it will need patience as Jack learns its cues.

Jack is working on his indoor manners. He will counter surf if given the chance and loves to run and jump. Jack has been around kids as young as six and loves to play with them. He can play a little rough or get a little mouthy.

Jack's perfect home would be one with either a young, playful resident dog; or an active family. Jack would benefit very well from training. Let us know if you would like to meet Jack.
