Hi Everybody,

I am Try, but so far you only know part of my name.  For starters Try is a shortcut for Tripod (cause I have 3 legs).  But the new spelling suggests something better.  In my new home with my temporary family my whole name is Try And Succeed.  How many dogs do you know with 3 names.  Kinda kool for a dog with 3 legs, huh?

So you must be wondering how I got here. It was quite a journey from South Dakota.   I had a loving family that brought me to the shelter cause they had to move and couldn't take me. Huge paws up to Rona, the shelter, vets and the transport people.  The shelter & vet made sure I'm up to date medically, gave me a bath and nail trim.  My ears were icky and I got medicine, so they're almost perfect now.

Now for my stats, I'm about 2 1/2 years old.  I am fixed (whatever that means).  I don't remember when I lost my leg, but it doesn't matter.  I run and chase and play like every dog.  My athletic trainer is Heather and Meg is my big smart sister.

I lived with kids and I really miss them.  The only time I bark is when I'm in my kennel.  I don't like that place.  The surrender papers say I'm not housetrained.  That is a mis-truth.  I don't have accidents in the house.  So my foster parents are taking it slow with me.  I was scared the first nite, but foster mom stayed with me on the floor and then she let me out of the kennel and I laid on the floor, too.  Nites 2 & 3, I was very tired.  I slept in my kennel and didn't make a peep until everyone got up at 6:00am.  Because they are starting to trust me on nite 4, I got to sleep with everyone in the bedroom.   Woooo hoooo.  No accidents or incidents.

I stayed in a puppy pen in the kitchen today.  I have lots of room to walk around and stretch.  And I had a big surprise for the people when they got home......that's right!  No surprises.  So I'm pretty sure that I can be considered 100% accident free and housetrained.  One more day in the pen and I've got free roam.

I almost forgot to mention Tuesday nite, a bunch of people came over and sat in the driveway for National Nite Out.  When I finally got to go out for a meet n greet, I met everyone with my tail wagging.  It was very fun.  They all loved me.  And last nite we went to some friends and they loved me too.  The guy laid on the floor with me and we fell asleep.  They want to keep me, but first they have to apply and go through the application
process.

Try and Succeed was spent today in the puppy pen with no accidents.  So he will have free roam tomorrow.

At first Try was afraid of carpeted stairs.  He slunk down them one at a time with gentle coaxing.  What goes down must go up, so we had a scared boy there, too.  The next time he went downstairs was at a comfortable walk.  No encouraging or coaxing needed.  He flew back up and has flying up and down without a care since.  Heather & Meg rarely go down to the scarey "finished" basement.  Its also difficult for Try to get in the car, but he is figuring that out, too.  Seriously, Try attempts everything first and then excels at it the next time.

Larry 10-197 came over last nite for a cat test. The boys bonded instantly.  We had to cut the yardplay short because the knats were dining on us.

Tonite we all went for his first walk. He was very confident.  I don't think he was out on a leash much before RAGOM.  Try needed a couple rest stops, but he made it all the way.  He was tired momentarily when we got home, but ready for yardplay after a short respite.  I cannot believe his stamina and attitude.  His tail is constantly wagging and he always wants to be with someone, furbutt or human. He is a very special boy!

If you meet Try, I promise you will fall in love. He is so sweet, obedient and attentive.  If we didn't already have 2 furbutts, he'd be a keeper.  (I know, I've said that 11 times).  And its been the truth with every single one.  If you want to give Try a try, contact your RAGOM placement advisor.

And please check our RAGOM Facebook page to help find Mozart.  Thank you!

Hey Hey Everyone,

Guess What!!!

I'm adopted.  I was on Petfinders and didn't even know it.  FM got the call that a family was interested in me.  We visited them with a girl furbutt and even though I got crabby they said they wanted to add me to their family.

On Easter we hopped in the mutt mobile and surprised my new family with my bunny ears & egg necklace on and they asked me to stay.  I miss my sisters Meg & Heather more than woofs can say.

I LOVE my new mom Jackie & dad Gene and they ADORE me so much they gave me a new name, Scooter.

I'm their only furbutt with a fenced yard and I go on walks and car rides everyday.  And I'm taking them to special dog training.  How cool is that!  So, there ya have it.  Maybe my new parents will write about me, too.

Thanks for reading about me.  But I can't leave without thanking my awesome sponsors, Jessica, Adam & Mikko. You are golden.

Have a "Golden" Spring/Summer, everyone......Love,.Try Try nka Scooter

Hey-O Everybody,

I'm so excited I went to the spa with Meg & Heather yesterday.  I walked up the ramp into the tub with no problem.  I got scrubbed and massaged and tons of lovin.  I was a little scared of the blow dryer hose at first, but after a minute, (I thinks its the noise), I settled down and enjoyed it. Heather & I got a pawicure and my fur was trimmed up a little bit.  Meggers got the full treatment.  We are struttin & looking like "hot" dogs if I do say so myself just in time for the cruddy weather tomorrow.  FM said it figures, wash the car and it rains.  Wash the dogs and it snows. Thanks for our golden makeovers Ms. Jodel at Ollu Dog Wash.

We're out walking almost every nite now and I do the long block with no problem.  Auntie Laurie joined us the other nite.  She would love to adopt me but she's not home very much and I would get lonely.
We always stop for a quick "hi" to the lady huskies in their yard on the way home.  I look forward to seeing them.  But today they had a "boy" with them.  Didn't like that so much.

Hey Hey its the weekend and we get to sleep in.  Yay.  We understand "Go Back to Sleep"  That works for about 30 min. and then we send Heather up for wake up kisses patrol.  Then I jump up and say its poddy/breakfast time, no hesitation there.  Today I was alone with MiMi for 4 hours while FM went to a RAGOM volunteer/reception event.  The time dragged on & on & on.  So we just slept.  I've been left alone before when they went to the dog park but that was just a little while.  I just want you to know I don't get in trouble or mischief or anything like that.  You can trust me.

Hey, there's an egg on my blog an egg in memory of Libby & Sam.  Thanks.  You are "eggstra" special.  My special friends in ND and my sponsors Jessica & Adam are "golden" eggs, too.  Its special remembrances like this that lets RAGOM continue to rescue and re-home us furbutts.

Heather wants me to send kisses to Ms. Cynthia and to Steve & Gail R.  Have an "eggcellent" Easter.  I'll share the chocolate bunny heads......just kidding.

Love Try Try.
Oops almost forgot.  Contact your placement advisor if you want to meet me.

Hey You, its me the Golden Gansta commin at cha,

Happy Spring everyone.  High paw to my friends in North Dakota for the pretty butterfly, a sure sign of Spring.  And double high paws to my sponsors, Jessica and Adam.  I think about you often.

The yard lakes are gone but that doesn't stop us from tracking in mud.  FM says its time for a Spring spa.  Dog gone it, I just hate that warm water, soapy lavender massage and gentle rubdown with special treats afterward.

Heather got one the other nite cause she shimmied under the deck and came out black.  Meg will go to a special spa place cuz she gets her bloomers and all the rest trimmed and spiffed up.

Now that its Spring we go on more walks and the girls go to the dog park.  I stay home alone for a couple hours.  No problem there.  I don't get into or destroy anything.  I wait patiently for my pac to return.  Did I mention that I love to go on rides.  Yup, most of the time I sit in the front seat.  I'm a great co-pilot.  We went to the vet for Meg's spring tuneup and its official, I am 69.1 lbs.  Me & Meg weigh the same.  Someone gained almost 10# over the winter and I'm not pointing any paws, but it wasn't me.....just sayin.  Someone else gained 5 so both are on the green bean diet.  I gained 2# of lean mean muscle.  Boys rule....yea!

The kids came over last week.  The little girl was scared of me cuz I wanted to kiss her & get some loving back and almost knocked her down a couple times. And Heather wanted to "herd" her so she spent a lot of time sitting on the kitchen counter with her feet up.  Silly girl.

I met 2 families.  We met on the street during a walk first.  Its all happy tails and fun.  Then we all go play and chase in the back yard.  They say "Try is perfect, beautiful, fun, fast, special." And I hear a new word "Adoption" with a maybe after it.  And we all go inside to talk about me.  And I'm laying on the dog pillow with the kids and getting love from everyone.  And then I forget my manners and growl a little at the family dog.  And I snap out of it and go back to playing. And I growl again a little louder this time and me & FM have "the talk".  And then when I'm getting love and attention from the mom or dad and their dog gets to close to me I get naughty.  I don't know why I do that.  And then the family leaves.  Maybe the "A" word scares me. Meg & Heather told me what it meant for them cause they stay here.  It means something else for me cuz I 'realistically' can't stay.  As much as I would love to stay here with the girls, its just not feasible, so I need a forever family.  I know someone is out there.  Could it be you.  Here is my list:

Kids at least 10+
Cats are ok
Obedience training to build my self confidence cuz I'm not getting it here.
Physical fence
Your one and only dog for now but maybe later we can add another brother or sister to our family
Regular exercise to keep up the strength in my good leg. But I'm not a jogging or running partner.
Keep me under 70# so my leg isn't stressed.
No dog parks

So there you have it.  I'll be waiting for you with my paws crossed.

Thanks for reading about me.  Have a "golden" Spring!.....Try Try.

Hey, where did all this water come from?  I thought we couldn't afford a lake place.  Its yucky out there so we go out in the big yard to do our business and repave the racetrack.  We're getting our exercise
and after a hundred laps around the screen house

I get a massage and snow pack cool down blanket.

Those were the days when I was king of hill.

We went for a walk the other day.  Because Meg  & Heather wear gentle leaders, I had one on too.  Let me just say that I don't need one.  I am just fine walking on a leash.  The girls were constantly weaving in and out.  We stopped 4 times cause they got tangled.  Not me......silly sisters.

I almost forgot to tell you about my shower.  It wasn't as scarey this time because FM kept her clothes on.  I was a good boy and I smell really good. Its very slippery in there so I just lie down but I cooperated when I had to flip over to my other side. After my spa shower, I went for a professional nail trim.  And I was a good boy there, too. I better hop off this keyboard so FM can talk with you about something very important.  Thanks for reading about me.  I'm ready for my forever family.
Contact your RAGOM placement advisor if you are ready for me.  A special shout out to my sponsors.  You rock.

Thanks, Try Try.  Nice write up,
I want to mention how much we appreciate all your prayers, positive thoughts and donations coming into RAGOM for the "Parvo" pups.  Unfortunately Elwood is the puppy we are worried about now.  He is separated from his sibs because of his stomach feeding tube.  His swallowing restriction means he can't eat or drink anything.  When not swaddled in his foster mom's arms, he is content in his little cat crate snoozing or a larger crate amusing himself under close supervision.  He gets spends a little time with his sibs daily but when the energy level escalates to wrestling he is removed.  This boy is a trooper and a keeper.  I am blessed
to work less than 5 min. away and spend my lunch with the puppies, feeding, cleaning up, laundry with a little kissing and cuddling. They're developing personalities and interacting with each other and everyone. Please keep these puppies and especially Elwood in your prayers. Thank you!

Yo, hey, whadda ya say?  I say THANK YOU to Kristine L. for my holly present.  I remember your family coming out to see me at the 2 stores.  I'm sorry that you can't adopt me.  I think it would be fun.  I hope you find a very special furbutt soon.  We have a lot of dogs looking for a special family like yours.

And another shout out to my sponsors Jessica & Adam.  Unfortunately, I don't get to attend training/boarding for my "dog" issue, so I may be the only golden retriever with a muzzle on at the pet stores.  Cross your paws we get me figured out soon so I can be available to more families. Thanks again for sponsoring me.  Leslie, Kathy & Jeff, we nailed the holly on the doorway so I get/give kisses whenever I go under it.  Kisses for you!  Karla, I'm still spinning and ringing the bell for the furbutt angels.  FM says I'm gonna turn into peanut butter pretty soon.  I have to continue spinning so the angel in the backyard grows wings again.  She is looking pretty sad without wings.

We went to the dog park again on a really cold day thinking no dogs would be there.  There were 6 dogs.  So while Meg & Heather played with everybody FD and me went for a walk.  We saw deer and a hawk and people with tennis rackets on their feet.  (??)  Must be another weird human game, although it didn't look like much fun.

We are still making trails in the backyard and having fun in all this snow.  A "special" Try Try Hi Hi and kisses to Aunt Dee for the Christmas presents.

Hope everyone has a "golden" new year.  See you in 2011...............Try Try

Hey Hey, whaddaya say.

Its me Try Try, the golden gangsta comin at cha,

Do you see what I see?  Holly presents.  One from my friend Leslie that transported me to my foster parents.  I remember you.  Thanks for the ride into my new golden life.  And another holly from my new friends Kathy & Jeff. WOW, its really kool to be remembered at Christmas time.

More good news:  I have wonderful sponsors Jessica & Adam. I'm taking extra bell spins so Mikko can get more wings.  I am proud to be sponsored in his honor. Thank you.  Now I can go to training/boardng to fix me and help me get along with other dogs.  A sloppy kiss and Try Try spins for you.

Saturday, we walked in the New Brighton Petsmart and a special guy gave us a big bag of really great food.  Its a good thing cuz we are almost out.  I was ready to grab a bucket and ring my bell for food & treat donations. Merry Christmas, special guy.

Then this really cool George dude told FM to pick out a toy for me.  So off we went to find something that Meg won't de-queak or unstuff.  I found the perfect thing.  I take it everywhere but outside.  My sisters grab it from me sometimes. Most of the time I share it with them.  And Mr. George even bought a present for every foster furbutt.  How cool is that!  Merry Christmas George!

A couple families drove far just to see me.  I felt very special.  A police man that has 2 goldens liked me too, but he has a big house with wood floors and steps everywhere. That would not work for me.   I could feel the love all over the store.  The only bummer is that FM forgot my winter jacket there.  Santa will pick it up on his way to your house so we'll get it soon.  Speaking of Santa, we had a long talk.  He asked me what I wanted for Christmas.  I said "A family" and then I added to take special care of all the furbutts left outside in the stormy cold weather. He said he would keep that in mind.  Thanks Santa.  I believe in you.

I have to rescue my toy from Meg, see ya later.

Merry Christmas to you all.  And to All a Good Night........Try Try

Ding, Ding Ding. Anyone hear a bell? I have a beautiful bell from my new friend, Karla. Bells aren't just for ringing. You can wear them, too. I can ring and spin at the same time. And you know what they say: Every time a bell rings, an furbutt gets their wings. Thanks, Karla. Many wings will be given this year.

I Love Christmas time. And I LOVE this weather. We all went for a walk around the block. Check out my new boots.

It was so cold the girls wore jackets. The low temps don't bother me. I could stay outside all day. Making snow angels is fun, too.

I LOVE the snow. We lost our race track around the shed so we made another one around the screenhouse. Once around that and I am pooped. Meg made a trail so we can navigate it better. That really helps me and Heather. FD snowblowed the deck so we can run down and do our business in the little yard.

Heather thinks the poopsicles are chocolate afternoon snacks. She needs a timeout in her house for that. Girls, go figure. If it looks like chocolate. YUCK!

FM says we will be at the Quarry Petsmart in Minneapolis on Sunday, Dec. 19. I hope to see you there, Karen so I can give you a special Try Try smooch.

Thanks for reading about me.

Hi, its me again.  I have so much to tell you about the last couple days.  I'm loving the snow with the girls especially if there are sticks in it.

I had the dreaded bath a couple nites ago.  What do you think?

I'm ready for the holiday parties.

Friday morning, 6:30 we went outside and this is what we saw.

That is the biggest, scariest dog EVER.  FM came flying out the deck door cause Meg & Heather were going crazy.  I didn't say a word.  Nope only 2 voices were causing that noise.  I was running back and forth, being silent.  FM apologizes for the picture quality.  Turns out when FM apologized to our neighbor that nite, she said no problem, cause when there's crazy barking over here she knows there is something out of the ordinary.  We love our neighbors. The neighbor also said she saw 2 more deer and was glad Meg & Heather woke her up.

Today we tried deck skating.  This is a sport I can live without.  Its funny when a four legged furbutt falls flat but not so funny when I lose balance. We only have 6 short stairs and I go down them good, but coming up is scarey when they are icy.  FM came out in her socks to help me up today.  Its a good day to stay inside and sleep.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the RAGOM families, sponsors, volunteers and friends reading our updates. Stay safe and warm and on your 2s and 4s..........Love, Try Try

Hi Everybody,
Where is everyone?  Come on people.  I'm your guy.  Look at this profile.

How can you resist this?

Or this?

I promise they're not mug shots or photo shopped.  I constantly hear Good Boy, Try.  Good Boy! Good Boy, Try Try!!  Of course I'm a Good Boy.  I've got it made.  I live with two beautiful ladies, Meg & Heather.  Every day is "golden".  Yup, I'm a ladies man.  Don't care much for the guys.  Not only am I a handsome "Golden" Retriever,  I'm a Golden "Receiver." You throw a ball outside, I receive it and drop it.  Why throw away a good ball?  In the house, I'm a Golden Retriever.  Throw that ball down the hall and I bring it back everytime.  Sometimes I let Meg get it.  Ha, she doesn't bring it back though, so I have to.  And I have my real live stuffed toy.

Something else great about me is that I don't destroy anything.  FD left for a couple hours and came home to find the Chuck And Dons & Drs Foster & Smith books shredded.  I'm not pointing any paw (if I did, I would fall over---hahaha).  But it wasn't me.  MiMi drops it off the counter to Meg and she shreds it.  Meg claimed she was "Christmas" shopping.  Heather was in her house and I was sleeping.  I think MiMi & Meg are partners in crime.

They say I am getting too comfortable and I should be moving on.  If it was up to me, I'd stay forever with the girls.  But I need to find my forever family.  Winter is just around the corner and if you need a dog blanket, I am the best for that.  I LOVE to cuddle or warm your backside.  I'm also good with a dog bed or the floor. Especially with kids, I'm very flexible. The only request that I have in my new home is carpet or stable rugs.  I would not balance well on wood stairs or bare wood polished floors cuz I need the traction.  Following is my summary and wish list (no special order) for my forever home.

KIDS (if you don't have kids, they have to come over or be your neighbors)
Ok with cats
Excellent co-pilot or backseat driver
Partner for short walks
Team Player with girl furbutts
Waker upper
Golden blanket (better than a fireplace)
Bird, squirrel & rabbit patrol officer
Fence........size and style is negotiable

There ya have it.  I'll keep the faith and hope that we make an adoption connection.  Contact your placement advisor if you want me.  Speaking of faith.  Remember Mozart in your prayers.  He's out there somewhere and needs to get home to his family.
Thanks for reading about me......................Try Try

Try tolerated another lavender shower & massage.   I believe he was cautious of slipping in the tub because he laid down so I scrubbed one side of his body and rolled him over for the other side.  Not much cooperation, but no resistance either.  When he jumped out of the tub he enjoyed the towel buffing.  Try Try LOVES to be brushed. His white belly feathering is growing and he is developing body structure.

His head is big, but at 65#, he is thin and underweight.  We are feeding him more to increase his physical strength but not overdoing it as not to stress his stable leg.  If he had a normal physique, he would probably be comfortable at 80-90#.  Dr. said about 70-75# is good.  We are gradually introducing yogurt, berries, cottage cheese, Omega 3 and eggs to his diet. Tonite he had a little scrambled egg with bacon.  Try loves the healthy additions as treats or topped on his bland dry kibble.  I think his ear infection is cleared up.  I still flush his ears twice a week just to be sure they stay clean.

This boy is AMAZING. When Heather, the athletic coach sets the tone to play all 3 run the racetrack around the shed and screen house, up on the deck, circle, and repeat.  Heather was faking them out and dodging Meg & Try at every turn.  With one exception, Try outfoxed Heather on turn 3 and they collided.  Try lost his balance, refocused and the hot pursuit continued.  I was amazed that Try was able to keep the pace with Heather.  At the dog park she frequently has several dogs flying after her with no contact.  Try on 3 legs can best her in the backyard.  Good boy!  I encourage this in the morning so they are tired and sleep most of the day. After the race, the winner gets a kiss.

No more puppy pen.

Try has had free roam for 3 weeks with no accidents. The kids have been very good when we are gone.

Try jumps in the car, on the couch or bed with no hesitation.  He is getting better about OFF and DOWN.  He just wants to be close and the center of attention.  He longs for human touch.  He has a big kissable nose that is not used to affection.  So we are saturating his nose with kisses at every opportunity.  Its a game now.  He buries his head as if to say "no, no, stop, I hate that." Then he kisses and bugs us when we stop.  Silly boy!

Try Try is a big spoiled puppy.  He butts in for attention when we are loving the girls, but backs off when we tell him to.  He rolls over on his back for special rubs and massages and loves it when we talk to him face to face.
You can touch him anywhere on his body and he is fine.  I'm always playing with his feet, ears and mouth so a doctor or child would be okay to touch him.  I can put my hand in his bowl when he eats or take it away.  He is fine.  At first he was a little snarky with taking stuff from the girls, but he knows the rules now and we haven't had a problem lately.

The weekends are for sleeping in so the dogs may have to wait an extra hour or so for breakfast.  Their inner clock is set for 6:30 but if I say "Go back to sleep", Try is the first to flop back down on his bed and wait until I get up.  He is such a good boy!  Thanks, Try.

Within the last couple days, Try developed a very very bad habit:  When the wake up radio goes on, the dogs jump up for the "good morning" kisses. Then they jump down to rush outside and breakfast.  Try takes it one step further.  He grabs the sheet and blanket and pulls both completely down so I have no choice but to get up.

If you have sleepy kids that just won't get up with that obnoxious alarm, then this is the boy for you.  If you've tried everything to get those kids out of bed in time to catch their bus, adopt Try.  He won't disappoint you.  He is a big sweet, silly boy that LOVES kids.  Contact your placement advisor for this "wake up" opportunity.

Thank you for reading about Try Try.

Its me, TryTry hoppin in to say "hey".  Here's my progress update.

I am getting in & out of the car without help and up & down stairs like a pro.  I'm learning "Excuse me" and "Back it Up".  For a treat, I understand hand signals for SIT & LIE DOWN.

And I'm starting to spin dance when the its time for food.  How cool is that?
We've gone to the new local dog park a couple times.  I don't like that.  I would much rather stay in a big yard with a fence so I can play and run by myself with my family.  Its cooler now so we can start walking around the block again.  I like short walks.

Now for confession time....Two times I sneaked open the baby gate to the basement and squished through the blocked door to the laundry room and found the covered cat box and MiMi's food.  FD tightened up the babygate and screwed a bar on the wall that the gate sets into so I can't push it open.  The second time I saw my opportunity when the gate wasn't completely closed so I quietly snuck downstairs and squished into the laundry room through the blocked door and helped myself again.  I woulda had a clean get-a-way but I got stuck in the doorway and caught in the act.  Guess I shoulda planned that better. Oooops.  Last nite foster dad sawed a hole in the laundry door so only MiMi can get in there.   I'm grounded from that room forever.  Oh well, at least I don't chew electric cords like Heather used to.  I wonder if she ever got grounded for that.
Speaking of that little princess,  I gotta check on her and Meg.  Talk with you later.............Try Try.

Try is the smartest dog we have fostered.   I know he reads my mind.  We are treating ear infections that require medication twice a day and an ear flush every other day.  He is cooperative, but I know he doesn't like either one.  So we have random times for either treatment.  He knows its time before I grab the stuff because he runs to another room.  And he doesn't miss anything.  Whatever I am doing, he is right there, watching.  Not just to be close and get attention.  He is curious, learning where things are kept and wants to know what  is going on.  He watches every move when I fold laundry or empty the dishwasher.  He wants to know where everyone is and settles down when everyone is accounted for.

This is what I think Try And Succeed (Try Try) would like or need with his forever family:
Kids over 6 (He loves kids)  If you don't have kids, neighbors or frequent visitors would be wonderful.
He ignores cats.

Physical fence (at least 4 ft) because he chases squirrels and birds and almost succeeded in climbing over our 40" chainlink.
Someone that understands his physical limitation (even if he doesn't).  He's not a jogging or running partner.  Short walks with a couple rests are necessary.

Ideally, Try would like someone home at least part time, but not absolutely necessary.  He is house trained for the workday.  Try would like to be your only dog, but another dog in the house is ok.  He would benefit and bond even more with obedience training.

Contact your RAGOM Placement Advisor if you are interested in meeting Try Try.  Thanks for reading about this very special boy.

Hi Everybody,

My new name is Try Try.  I am learning so much at this place.  I go up & down the stairs all the time.  I'm getting used to jumping in the car, too. I know "sit" and "lie down"  Sometimes I throw in a "rolldown" just to keep it fun.  I'm learning "back it up" , "excuse me" and "get outta there" and "get in here".  And I'm learning pointing arm signals, too.  We are working on "Off" and "Down".  I only hear those words when FM has to get out of bed.

Its been too hot for walking except for a couple times lately.  FD says our toes will burn if we go out.  Foster mom was walking me on a cool nite and we talked with 2 guys and a golden lab named Rosie from California.  FM said Rosie looks alot like Mozart.  I'm supposed to ask you to cross your paws and pray for safe return to his family. He's been gone since July 10.  Watch for his bill board on 94 by Fleet Farm in Alexandria in a few days.

Last weekend my foster sisters, FM & FD and Aunt Denise and Rocco went to church for a talent show.  We showed everyone how we work for food and talked a little bit about rescue.  There was a lot of people.  I wasn't  scared.  Me & Rocco let lots of kids pet us.  Scaredy dogs Meg & Heather kinda stayed behind us.  Boys Rule, Girls Drool....Again.

A couple nites ago we had company.  Aunt Sue came over with Rio and Riley.  Riley is a shepherd mix.   Rio is a Texas Blue Lacy.  She is the only dog in the world that is faster than Heather. We had a lot of fun racing in the back yard.

Blue Lacys have a white butterfly on their chest and white tippi toes.

They're in Texas and bred to herd pigs and cows. Then the knats started eating us alive and the party was over.

Did you know that I'm a magician.  I can make Heather's head disappear.  She is my favorite playtoy.  I don't pay any attention to MiMi, the cat except when I steal her bed off the rocking chair and try to bring it outside.  I like taking stuff outside, but always forget to bring it back in. We're working on that, too.

I don't have free roam when the foster parents are gone.  I'm in the puppy pen.  I have lots of room to roam around in.  They trust me cause I'm housetrained but don't want me loose cause I just find things and drag them around so I stay confined for now.   But I sleep in the bedroom at nite on the floor out in the open.

Have I mentioned that I can jump on the couch and the bed by myself?  Yup, my leg is stronger.  Foster mom says its getting muscles.  Well, hello, when I run and try to escape from Heather, you'd build up muscle too. Sometimes its hard to see who is chasing who.

We decided that I am supposed to be a big dog.  My head is big but I'm skinny.  Its kinda hard to know how much to feed me.  If I too much weight then I will have problems with my leg holding me up.  And if I'm too thin, then I look like I'm starving.  We are in the experiment stage.  I say to heck with the experiment.  I don't care.  I need food.  Lots and lots of food.  I'm supposed to be big, just sayin.

Yesterday I took a shower.  I didn't like it but Aunt Christi said I smell really good. We went to a meeting and there was a whole bunch of dogs.  I got along with every dog in the place.  Ooops, gotta get ready for my walk with the furbutts.  Thanks for reading about me......Try & Succeed (Try Try)
