Hey, everyone! It’s me, Savannah, stoppin’ by to give a quick update ‘bout what I’ve been up to in my foster home lately. The weather has been soooooo nice, so I’ve been hangin’ in the backyard wif my furry foster sis a lot and followin’ FM while she picks what’s left of the garden. I’ve also discovered that we have these two VERY short, VERY furry creatures on the other side of our fence. FM calls them cats…whatever that is. Anyways, I wanna check them out but cannot figure out HOW to get on the other side of this big fence…Me and my foster sis tried diggin’ under it, but that only got us on FM’s “list” and required baths for BOTH of us.
FM says I need to “come clean” and let my future peeps know a few things ‘bout me…Mommy says to always start wif something positive, so HERE GOES… First I want to say that I am a VERY sweet, VERY loving Goldie gurl who LOVES attention from my hoooooomans. That’s a good thing, right? Okay, sometimes I get a little over excited and jump up on my hoooooomans…and do a snorty-growly-tailwaggin’ thing when I wanna play, which might be scary at first if you didn’t know it was just my way of being friendly…and I burp…LOUDLY. I’m respectful of baby-gates and listen when I’m told “no.” I do pull a lot when walking on a leash (mostly ‘cause I’m SO excited to be going for a walk) and HAVE to sniff everything as I go. I have also been known to bring FM’s jammies down the stairs and snuggle on them whiles she’s gone to work during the day. Isn’t that S-W-E-E-T?!
So, that’s ME…Savannah Montana…If you think you have some love to spare and some time to spend teachin’ me a few things, give your placement advisor a call. I’ll be here waiting to meet you…XOXOXO Vannah

FM here…
Savannah did a great job updating, but I wanted to add just a couple things. Vannah has been with us for about two months now and has really begun to show her true personality. Although she still startles at sudden noises or movement, she has gotten so much better. When she first arrived, she would “hide” in the corners of the living room or behind one of the chairs, but now sprawls out wherever we are, waiting for attention. She has also begun to try to play with our resident Golden, Maya…except Maya doesn’t really have any interest in playing with her. I’m hoping that her “forever home” will have a dog that actually wants to pal around with Vannah and teach her some of the things she missed out on learning as a breeding mama. Savannah loves to chew on bones and has started to figure out what toys are, too…for de-stuffing, of course! Actually, this is a good thing…When she came, Vannah was somewhat afraid of the toys in the basket and now she can be found emptying out the basket, looking for that “perfect” stuffie or tennis ball to chew on. Lately she has begun to chew on some things that she shouldn’t…the kids’ shoes…but redirecting her to her own things has worked quite well.
From the moment I picked Savannah up from the transport team, I wondered why someone would give her up…she was a perfect Golden girl right from the start. Now, two months later, I’m still wondering. She has melded with our family so well, stealing everyone’s heart…It is definitely going to be very difficult to say good-bye to her when her “forever family” walks through the door.
