Norah has been with us for a week now and she continues to learn something new everyday. Today foster dad brought out the doggie pool and Norah had a blast playing with our resident yellow lab! Norah is a very calm puppy, she is not big on jumping up or excessive biting or chewing of things. She does like to carry things around in her mouth. This means that sticks, pinecones, socks and shoes have all made their way into Norah's mouth. However, she is getting really good at the "drop" command when she has something in her mouth that should not be there! She is also learning the "come" command and she recognizes her name.

Norah is getting the hang of going potty outside but she still has some accidents in the house. She has free roam of our kitchen/family room area and respects the baby gates. She is being crate trained while we are away and also at night.  She does not whine when she goes into her crate. We simply say "kennel" and she heads over to it but does need a little prompting to go inside. Norah is able to keep the crate clean when we are away for longer periods of time and also at night. Norah is so happy in the morning when her people are all waking up. She is let outside right away and takes care of business.

Right now Norah is not much of a snuggler. She begins to softly whine, "let me down", when we have picked her up to snuggle with her on the couch or in the recliner. Norah thinks there is too much going on around her to sit still. She is constantly exploring. She has recently discovered the tennis ball and is very proud to retrieve it...that is unless something distracts her before she gets to it! Norah will be spayed the first week of June and then will be able to join her forever family. Contact your placement advisor if you are interested in meeting Norah. As you can see from the pictures, she is a gorgeous little girl!
