Goldie 10-149

Profile

Please welcome Goldee Lox into the Ragom family. She resides in Eagan MN with  Papa Bear (FD) Mama Bear (FM) and Baby Bear (Miss Clohe)

She has been at our house for a week now. She adjusts very well and has no problems with Miss Clohe. She has free roam and is a very good girl. She just wants to please.

She was an owner surrender from a family who had small children. As much as they loved her, the small children were pulling on her tail and ears and the family just wanted Goldie to have something more than they could offer. So I will be looking for a home for her that does not have small children.

She had her vet appt yesterday. She is listed as being 8 years old but my vet clinic thinks she is 6, no more than 7 years old. Her first home was a farm that she wandered on to, so we do not have a birthdate. She weighs 85 pounds but she has a large frame so this is a good weight for her. I can tell she has minor allergies because she has licked her feet but they do not seem to bother her too much. I have not even given her Benadryl yet. She does have 2 ear infections that we are working on clearing up. She is a trooper when it comes to cleaning them and giving her the meds. She is heartworm negative (YAY!)  and ready to begin the search for her forever home. Goldie is a real Velcro dog. She likes to be with people and is said to be ok with other animals. She does great with Clohe. I think she would play with another resident dog but she also likes her humans and would be ok with humans who gave her enough attention. She LOVES her walks and does great with just a leash. No gentle leader needed for this girl.

I know she will not be with me long. This girl is a keeper. I miss her already. Let your advisor know if you are interested.

I am so sorry for taking so long to let you all know how my birthday party went. How do you spell busy?

G-O-L-D-I-E!!!! My party was the GReatest. I received a new stuffed puppy, a hedgehog, oh yea and a new FAMILY!  YAY! For me. They even bought me a new duck. Remember that family we did the home visit for? Well, Larry could not resist. His only requirement for his new fur friend was that they sleep in bed with him. Well, it did not take FM too long to teach me that. J I will have a cat of my very own and also a Ragom brother, Dusty 07-240. He’s kind of gimpy but he knows the ropes and soon I will too. I’ll be picking strawberries and raspberries and trying to keep my new yard critter free.

Thank you Ragom for the best life ever….

Love

Doesn’t take long for me to catch on! A bed… sweet.

Oh my Goldie girl. You were here for such a short time but you stole a huge piece of my heart. You were so eager to please, and always had a smile on your face with a wagging tail. I will never forget you or your funny antics. The time you walked downstairs and I told you on step 8 of 12 that you had to go back up. Well it’s tough for an 85 pound girl to turn around on a flight of stairs so instead you just go back up the stairs backwards. BACKWARDS? If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. How did you do that?J  The times we played dress up with the party hats, and then when I invited you up into bed. What a BIG SMILE.

You have moved on to the next phase of your life. You will be so loved and well cared for. I will always remember you and cannot wait to see you at the picnic.

Goodbye Goldie girl

Happy June 1st…….  After the storms have passed, what a nice day. And what a beautiful weekend. How do you spell BUSY? WOW! We did a lot. I went to the flea market and what a hit I was. FM said I could have been adopted out at least 10 times. I had my Ragom bandana on so we spent quite a bit of time talking about what great things RAGOM does. I was so well behaved and such a fine mascot.

Shhh…… we bought things too. You know one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I don’t want to say that we came home with junk but I know FD would think so.   J

We went on that home visit and I met some very special people. A very nice cat named Noname who I absolutely loved. He liked me too. And then I met Dusty. 07-240. He is kind of a gimp but he gets around to do what he needs to do. He loves to go out in the strawberry and raspberry patch and help himself. Silly boy. I wonder if he would ever share?  He rules that roost.  Oh and a guy named Larry. He thought I was a beautiful girl.  FM agreed.

Well, guess who is having a birthday on Friday???   J  ME!! Miss Goldie Lox. Check out my latest pictures. A girl needs to be ready!

Check back Friday. I’ll let you know how my party went. I cannot wait for my presents!!

Happy Holiday everyone. Miss Goldee Lox here. Baby Bear (Clohe) has gone to her human sisters house for an overnight so I have my Mama and Papa all to myself. We spent a lot of time out in the yard yesterday and I love that. Mama thinks that I would do just fine with boundary training but that is yet to be determined. DO NOT LET THIS WHITE FACE FOOL YOU. I am a strawberry blonde girl and my feet are as white as my face. Thus the reason for why everyone thinks I might be younger than 8 years old. That and my teeth are very nice. I know basic commands and really all I want to do is please.

I do not get up on the furniture but I’m a quick learner so Mama thinks I would get the hang of that quite quickly. She doesn’t want to start any bad habits if my forever home is not ok with that. I’m ok to just lie at her feet. She rubs my back and I sleep so deep I have a tiny little snore. Maybe if you are a light sleeper, I could give Breathe Right a try.

Rumor has it we might go to a flea market today. Being outdoors and meeting a lot of people. I LOVE THAT. Papa has to mow the lawn too. I might have to give a helping paw to that also. AND we are doing a home visit tonight for someone that also wants to adopt a Ragom dog. There is plenty of us to go around…..

Clohe comes home today so my days of being an only “bear” will be over. That’s ok. I like Clohe too.

Thanks for following my story.

Love

Goldee Lox
