Metro is a very sweet gentleman. He has one of the cutest faces I have ever seen. He is settling in nicely with us. He came to us from Iowa, found as a stray. Two lovely ladies found him, gave him a bath and food.He was thankful. He is a people-dog! Metro loves to be around people. He follows me everywhere and almost "corners" me into petting him. All he needs is some good TLC.

He should not be around children younger than 10 years because he guards his food and snapped. He is very undernourished so his food is very important to him. He will be going to the vet on Friday for an exam. He is still intact so will need to be neutered. Currently he weighs about 70 lbs but will grow to be much bigger as soon as we get some nourishment in him. 

Metro is a mellow dog, just likes being around his people (more so than with our resident dog, who is quite hyper.) I feel he would do better with a more mellow resident dog when adopted or would be fine on his own. All I can say about him is that I fell in love with him the first time I laid eyes on him.

Oh, how we adore Metro! He has gained 15 lbs and is looking so handsome. He is enjoying the life he should. He is loving the Spring weather, frolicking in the fresh grass. We did find out he is an escape artist. He snuck out the front door and had a ball running up and down the sidewalk but we soon recaptured him. He was happy as a clam, just out doing some exploring. A fenced yard really would be best for Metro. We continue to work on his resource guarding of his food, and I feel he is making progress, although it can be slow, especially after what he has been through.We just take it one day at a time. He walks pretty well on a leash and definitely enjoys getting out daily. Enjoy the new photos of Metro!
