“Oh, the weather outside is frightful, and the fire…” Well, you get the drift. Hah, hah!
Hello, everyone. I’m Sally, the redhead, currently residing in Fridley. We’ve been having a great time playing in the snow. Did you know that Goldens LOVE to tunnel underneath all that frosty, white stuff? I think it’s my favorite time of year.
Things are moving quickly here. I made a new friend! Another foster mom brought her resident dog, Meg, over to our house. We met inside our fenced yard. At first, I was a little unsure and gave her a growly voice, but my foster mom said NO in a bigger voice and after a couple of times, I knew I was not behaving properly. Meg left for a few minutes. I thought she was gone, but then I saw her again coming around the corner. Whew! I wagged my tail as hard as I could and when she put her nose to the fence, I gave her a little kiss to show her how much I cared. My new best friend.
I went to the vet last Monday. They were going to spay me so I was ready for my new forever family. But when they shaved my bottom, they discovered a scar and said that it had already been done. Wow. That was close. But I also had a little cyst on the top of my head, so they took that out. Results are back, no worries - except for a little missing hair – see picture. Is this what it means to be bald???
My FM takes care of her cute, 3 year-old grandson every day. But he went to visit his other Grandmom for Christmas. I miss him. He plays with me and claps his hands when he wants me to follow him. He doesn’t know that I will follow him everywhere, even without clapping.
Well, my FM says I’m ready to move on now. But she wants everyone to know that I want to be the only resident dog in my new home, and I also need a fenced-in yard to play in. The world outside is so much fun, I’d probably visit everyone in the entire universe if I could.
So, it’s time to go – Santa is on his way, and I’ve been a super girl, so you know what that means! More bones, treats, toys and lots of extra pats from FM & FD. See ya!
