Finnegan (Manny 09-511)

Profile

Meet Mandy or Manny as we like to call him to save him some embarrassment at the dog park. Manny came to us on Sunday and was pretty tired from his long trip from South Dakota. After he had a bath and met our resident golden, Bailey, he was ready for a nap. After a night of adjusting he has fit right in with our family.

Manny was born on 9/27/09 (11 weeks) and is a golden mix. The previous owner said he was mixed with a Great Pyrenees, but he had some siblings that did not match the coloring so we are not entirely sure. Whatever he is he is sure cute!!!!

Manny's favorite things include eating, snuggling, and playing in the snow. We call him the little polar bear because he looks just like one and if you let him he would stay outside all day.

Manny will get checked out by the vet this week but seems to be in great health. I will keep you posted as I learn more about him and his great personality. :)

Manny, who was renamed Finn upon adoption, has grown tall.  He loves other dogs, especially his big sister Tango, and he's great with people.  Finn still chases Bonnie through the fence in the backyard ( Bonnie is the neighbor's miniature collie).  He loves to gnaw on sticks, take walks and naps.  He snores loudly and sleeps deeply.  We're so happy to have him as part of our family.  Here are some pictures.  One is a picture of him auditioning for a "got milk" commercial.  The other is Finn and Tango enjoying a winter's morn.

Thank you...John

Hello Everyone:

My forever Mom brought me to my new home on Friday February 5, 2010. She and my forever Dad have changed my name from Manny to Finnegan. They call me "Finn" for short.  I really love my new home.  It has a big backyard with a picket fence to keep me safe.  There is a sheltie named Bonnie who lives on the other side of the fence. She and I chase each other for fun.  What I like the best about my new home, however, is Tango. Tango is my 9 year old chocolate lab big sister.  We have a ball playing together and she takes care of me too.  Just today she showed me how to get in the car to go for a ride to get some things at the gas station.

There is a place on the first floor of my new home where the sun shines on the carpet.  I'm taking a little snooze right now in this great warm spot while my forever Dad sends you this update.  Thank you Ragom.  I really love my new family.

I'm attaching two pictures.  One is just me and the other shows Tango and me.

Yours Truly,

Finn (formerly Manny)
