Buddy 09-474

Profile

Welcome Buddy 09-474 to the Ragom family! He is a 4 ½ year old purebred Golden Retriever that weighs 60-70 pounds and is a big lover. He just went to the vet and got UTD on all shots and is getting neutered on December 8th. Everybody loved him and he even got his picture taken but they said it was like taking a picture of a 2 year old because he was so excited he was jumping on the counters. When they looked at his teeth they had some tartar so they brushed his teeth and gave us some toothpaste and a tooth brush and a tartar bone.

He is such a good dog and needs a family that can give him LOTS OF EXCERCISE.  He LOVES KIDS but would most likely knock over toddlers because of his size and amount of energy. After he gets neutered he won’t be able to go to a home until we know he is fully recovered. He loves to play and wherever you are, he is. He also has a habit of jumping that we are trying to stop, but overall he is just a gentle giant that loves to play. Also, did I mention he doesn’t bark a lot...... Stay tuned for more updates on this big boy!!

Sorry I didn’t get pictures in last time so I have a lot of pictures to make up for it. Oh and this is Buddy not my FM. I forgot to tell you that my neutering went great, but one of the stitches broke so FM had to put cream on it.

Christmas was so fun I got a big meat bone and some people crackers because it is for animals like animal crackers are for people. Also I wore my festive vest. I also got to see a visitor and he loved me and I loved him. He gave me attention the whole time he was here, what do you say about that?!

I love playing In the snow with my BFF Lindsey! I also run up and down the fence with the neighbor dogs, but I can’t keep up with them because the snow is so deep and I fall in it when I try to run. And I figured out that bunnies are impossible to catch! They are so fast and they even stay on top of the snow…..that is so not fair.

I just got to go in the shower with… you guessed Lindsey and I got very clean because I couldn’t take a shower till my stitches were healed and now they are. Well, got to go to bed now before FM catches me on the computer even though my real mom is Lindsey to me. She is watching me right now so I don’t mess anything up!! Bye bye!!

Look at my handsome face

Best friends forever!

Look at me play!

XOXOXOXOXO Love, Buddy and Lindsey!

Buddy is available now because the family did not work out. He is still very hyper and will settle down once he gets to know you. He is such a lover boy and he absolutely loves to play and snuggle in with you. When you try to take a toy from him he sticks it in your face and teases you.... it is so cute. He is going to get neutered tomorrow and he is going to have to stay quiet for 5-7 days, which is going to be hard.

He is starting to bark now but only barks if he sees someone walking by our house then he is fine. Last night when we were decorating the tree he took an ornament that was a stuffed animal one and he teased us a little bit but then he dropped it. He is waiting for his forever family to come and take him home. Did I mention he loves to chase his tail? Once he was doing it for a minute straight. Also because his head is so big and hard I opened a cabinet and I heard a big THUD and he hit his head on the cabinet door, poor Buddy.

When we were feeding him some carrots yesterday he was laying on his back and since his head was lying on the carpet a piece of carrot got stuck in his jowl! Whenever I take him on a walk he uses a gentle leader so that he can’t use his muscle against me and pull me around. Buddy also learned that going up to cats are a no no or he is going to get hissed at and get swiped in his face and he doesn’t want to deal with that. He likes to play with boy dogs but we haven’t tried it with girl dog as he isn’t neutered. If you would like to meet this silly cuddly boy contact your placement adviser now. Also he loves to please his people!
