My Buddy Sam has been adopted! He has a new brother---Remy. Sam loves to kiss and chase him! I think there might be a little '"playing" in Sam's future ~ I'll miss you Sam!

A little update about my doggie pal-Sam. Sam is a pretty laid back, easy going guy. He likes to go for his walks and then he likes to come in, chew on his bone and/or relax by laying around. He continues to meet dogs on our walks; he likes them if they are not too hyper-then he can get a little snarkey and snappy. I don't think that Sam ever learned how to play with other dogs...or toys. He has no interest in the rough housing that other dogs may want him to participate in. He also has no interest in toys or balls. He has done a bit of counter-surfing! The other night, Sam kept trying to wake me up, even after I let him out. Only when I got up in the morning did I realize he probably wanted me to make him some coffee---to go with the COFFEE CAKE he had for a midnight snack! Now I am sure to not leave anything on the counter, or coffee table where he may be able to do a little nibbling!
I think a fenced yard would be in Sam's best interest. When we are within an enclosed area, sometimes he does not come right away when I call him. Sam is a very easy going dog; he would be a nice addition to a mellow family.
Here is a picture of Sam beginning to relax in his crate after an afternoon walk-

I've had Sam for two weeks now and he is really coming out of his shell! He has met so many dogs in my neighborhood and he loves them all! His energy level is really increasing. We now go for longer walks. He is a perfect gentleman in the house, no accidents, no chewing. He is definitely interested in people food...He has not done any counter-surfing yet---Good Boy! Still no signs of seizures...just a great dog! I think he would do well with another dog-his energy level seems to increase when he has a bud to hang with. I also think Sam would do fine as an only dog. This afternoon we were out doing a little yard work--here is a picture of the handsome Sam supervising me!
