What we know about Ozzie is he is a 1 yr old neutered PB male.  Ozzie was surrendered by a very loving family that could not help with his hips.

Ozzie loves to go outside, run and play fetch.  He rings a bell to go outside and if he really wants out multiple times the bell goes off.  He loves his attention and sitting in the recliner seems to be his favorite spot.  Chewing is a big hobby of his, tennis balls are his favorite.

Still curious about the cats but seems to get along well with them and understands they are not chew toys.  Ozzy loves other dogs.

He goes to the vet on Oct. 13 to get his hips looked at to see what we can do to help him.....

This picture has a little funny story to it. My husband and I don't have any kids but we had to take our nephew some where. We never took out the car seat when we where done using it. One day where where going some where with Ozzie and our dog Silver. I looked back to find Ozzie with his butt in the car seat and the front half of his body draped across to the front seat with his head resting on the center counsel in an extended cab pick-up sleeping away like it was normal.

Ozzie has been doing really well - no limping at all anymore.  He learned how to open his own Christmas presents, he is loving the new snow, and he got to play with another RAGOM puppy and did awesome with him.  He seems to bond and play really well with other dogs.  He even likes to wrap up in the blankets on cold days like -20 degrees.  He even cuddles with us when we are sick.

Well it's been a few weeks. Ozzie is doing great. He still loves to sit in his recliner chair when he gets home from daycare. We've been taking him to daycare 2-3 times a week just to keep him active and so he can get his socializing in with other dogs. I ask the people everyday how he did and they all tell me he does great. He has two favorite things to do at daycare one is climb up and sit on a bar stool and the second one is to go up and down on the ramp that they have for the dogs to play on.  When he's not at daycare he is locked up in our bed room for about 8 hours and he does just fine. Depending on the crate depends on if he's goes right in or fights you not to go in. We have one of those plastic crates that he fights us when he has to go in it (I think it's too small of him). Daycare has one of those all metal ones that's a little bit bigger and he goes right on in.

We've had him groomed a couple of times and it's been a bumpy road. The first time he wanted nothing to do with getting up on that table and getting brushed out. It took two groomers to groom him. The second time it was better he just wanted nothing to do with being brushed. We've been working on brushing him more and more at home and he's getting better. We just keep it a positive thing.

On Dec 6th we took him to the dog park here in town and he thought that was fun. The only thing he real liked to do was run the fence and pick up sticks. He's getting better at playing fetch. He's learning that if he keeps bringing it back that we will throw it again and again for him.  Come meet this guy!!!

I took Ozzie to the vet on the 12th of Oct. to Dr. Rasmussen. We found out that he has mild hip displasia that doesn't require surgery at this point and time. It is causing no pain after running even with other dogs. He has OCD in his rear ankle, which will be fine with plenty of exercise to keep muscular strength and weight maintained. Future life style unlikely to support heavy running, but able to run on his own as long as he wants.

Now to the good stuff. We have had Ozzie now for 6 weeks and he loves his quality TV time with you. He also makes a great foot warmer in the middle of the night. He loves other dogs. As of right now he goes to daycare daily and LOVES every minute of it. His favorite place to sit is any chair he can climb into, including bar stools and computer chairs. He loves to be outdoors. Many days you look outside to find him just lounging in the sun. Loves to go for car rides. Walks real nice on his head collar. He needs a lot of hard bones around to chew on, otherwise he will tear stuffed animals and tennis balls to pieces. Loves to play fetch and work in the garage.  He rings his bell to go outside constantly if he's bored.

We feel that he should live with kids that are the age 10 and up. Just because he plays rough at times. He's getting better at going in a crate but he would prefer to be left in the recliner. His approximate weight is 56 pounds.

In one picture with two dogs Ozzie is the one on the left. We were outside raking and blowing leaves. Ozzie had a fun time help out.
