Please welcome Gracie to the RAGOM family!  Gracie is a 10-month old purebred female who joined our family a few days ago.  What a gorgeous girl she is!  Gracie is a very sweet girl who comes from a loving family who just didn't have the time for her.  But, she was greatly loved and comes with no hang ups.  Because of her young age, she needs some work on her commands and basic manners.  But we are working on this in between lots of exercise to burn off her young puppy exuberance. Gracie has begun learning the house rules and has full roam of the house during the day and night.  She does sit by the door when she REALLY needs to go out and sleeps quietly at night.  She's a dainty girl but she knows how to play hard with both of my resident goldens AND her people.  My 2 resident dogs are teaching her the fun of playing hide and seek with the family.  At this point, Gracie is learning the rules of the game (that you need to come running when your name is called).  By the end of the week, I'm sure she will be a very good seeker!  This sweet girl is just waiting for an active family who revels in outdoor activities and enjoys lots of time with her.  What she will need most is someone who has the time and energy to devote to her training and exercising this beauty.  She has so much love to give to the right family.

We picked up Gracie about two weeks ago. WOW-what a beautiful girl she is. We have been working to make Gracie's transition to our family as good as it possibly could be. She has been working to make friends with our resident cat. At first, she wanted to play with the cat ALL the time. I think they've learned to give each other a little space.

Gracie is a magnet wherever we go. We can't go to the park without numerous people needing to stop and say "hi" to her. It's pretty fun to show her off! Gracie goes to some training classes and seems to be doing pretty well. Her "mommy" takes her every week. They've been doing some great bonding.

Gracie likes to get away from us sometimes. She is very slinky and knows some tricks for getting away. She likes to play "keep away", but we eventually coax her back.

We could not be any happier with our new addition. We think Gracie is enjoying it too.

Thank you RAGOM!

Hi- Gracie here!

Foster mom says that I am getting the hang of the routine here- and what a place it is!  We have all this room to run and play and the 2 other goldies that live here are fun. Well, actually the older one doesn’t seem to like me much and she just growls when I get too close so I just tease her and run in circles around her.  Foster mom says if you get lemons, make lemonade.  So that’s what I do.

Lately, foster mom has been keeping my 20 foot leash clipped on my collar because I don’t always come when I’m called.  But, last night she gave me a chance to be off leash and told me to not disappoint her.  So, I tried really hard to stay close and play with her.  She started throwing this thing called a Frisbee and I have never played with one of these before.  All I can say is it was awesome!  I ran for about an hour before I was just too tired to run anymore.  Mom laughed at me a lot.  I like playing with the young boy who lives here but sometimes I get so excited that I jump on him....oops, sorry Mom!!

One thing I like to do is play tag when I have something that I really like and my family can never catch me to take it away.  I’m too sneaky.  Foster mom doesn’t play this game with me- probably cuz she’s no match for me.  I was even sly enough to shred a magazine when nobody was looking.  Foster dad was not pleased…but I really had fun.  I remember when foster mom came to pick me up from my old family and I snatched a bag of treats right off the table next to her!  I was like lightening!  Then, we got to play tag in the house for about 5 minutes…even 2 people couldn’t get the bag from me!  Now, foster mom has been telling me “out” and using the squirty thing when I am getting into things I shouldn’t.  She seems happier about it but I’m not….

I love this place with my foster family but they keep telling me that there is this place called a furever home and eventually I will find the perfect home and stay there….furever!  That would be really nice- I love everyone who comes by and even though I sometimes get carried away and jumpy, people seem to like me too.  Someday I will be a grown up girl and I can’t wait for that day.  But, I am practicing hard right now to be the best girl I can be.

If you want to come and hang out with me, contact your placement advisor.  They will hook-you-up!

Woof!
