Cooper B 09-290

Profile

This is Cooper here. I am a new kid on the block and I want to introduce myself to everyone. FM (foster mom) went out to the barn in between rain showers to feed the goats and the barn cats, so I thought I would quick get on this plastic box and tell you all about my wonderful self. I am 1-year old and I was transferred from Sooner Golden rescue (Oklahoma City) into RAGOM. FM knows nothing else than that of where I came from and why I am in rescue. I weigh 53.3 lbs.

I am a typical youngster that stops long enough for pets and cuddles and then I am off to play. I do play a little rowdy at times with my FB's and FS's, but I do mind my manners when FM tells me I am a little rough. I need plenty of exercise and a basic manners course will be needed. FM says that for not knowing anything about me, I am a good boy for a youngster. I am potty trained. I have only had one accident in the house and that is because FM did not know the sign that I needed to go out and, so it was not my fault. But that is the only time that I have done that. I do go in a create at night and when FM has to be gone for any length of time. I am not particularly fond of the crate, but I do not bark when I am in the crate. Once I am in there, I just chew on the bones I have with me. I am a chewer so FM makes sure that there are plenty of proper things I can chew on.

Since nothing was known about me, FM was not sure how I would do with the inside cats, but I have done pretty well. I am learning "NO chasing the kitties" and "leave the kitties alone." All I want to do is play with them. I will not hurt them. It is a good thing that FM has dog savvy cats with no claws or I might be in big trouble. :)

I mind well. I know "NO, sit, my name, come here, off," and we are working on some others. I pull pretty hard when on a leash, but I am just so excited that I want to see and smell everything.

It was hard for FM to get pictures of me as I am on the move all the time. But here are a few that she did get. As you can see I am a very handsome guy. I had a much needed bath and I feel and look a lot better.

When I am still, which does not happen a lot, I like to lay like this. FM calls is my froggy pose.

I like to play and play and play.

If you cannot resist this cute face, please let your placement advisor know that you cannot wait to meet me. I'll tell you more about me later. I gotta go, I hear FM coming back in.

It certainly is amazing how well my fosters have acted (many times different when they are with me LOL) when they know that they are in their forever homes and loved to death. Here is what the B Family sent to me about Cooper:

Hi, Kay!

Cooper is SUCH A GOOD BOY!! We are so, so happy with him! You would be impressed at how well behaved he has been. He has not tried to counter-surf at all. He's only picked up a couple things to carry around that's not his, and he drops them right away when you ask him to. He walks like a pro on the harness, no pulling at all (unless, of course we meet up with another dog, LOL!!). He's been enjoying his walks and chewing on bones in the backyard. Pete and I both fell asleep in the living room last night with Cooper loose, and (3 hours!!) later we woke up, panicked about what trouble he might have found himself in---and he was just snoozing in the living room with us, and hadn't disturbed a thing! :) Thank you so much for helping him find his way into our lives!

:)
