Hello everyone!  Let me introduce you to Jenni.  Jenni, Jen-Bear, Jen-Jen...she responds the best she can to all these names.  Jenni came to stay with us last Saturday.  She was let go after she refused to take care of her last litter - she got her freedom and RAGOM gave her a new start on a great life.

Like any puppy mill dog, Jenni has a long way to go.  Her spirits are high and she is a curious one.  We are pretty sure she will be just a perfectly happy and well adjusted companion with some work and love.  Jenni started her good life with a visit to the vet and a 1/2 day at the doggie spa.  After getting almost all the pink color out of her beautiful coat (remnants of the carpet in her crate at her old place), getting all the knots and yucky stuff out of her hair, she now looks like a beautiful princess!  The vet visit went pretty well.  We will be watching Jenni for a few things but will know more after a few weeks of good food and care.  Jenni is also working on losing some of her baby fat.  She's doing great so far - 3 lbs down, just about 20 more to go!  :)

Jenni is not sure if she can trust people yet, so most of her day is spent pacing up and down the house and making sure we do not try to "get" her.  This means that most of our day is spent ignoring her and trying to make her feel like we are not interested in "getting" her...it's quite interesting.  She will eat food out of my hands, and come and get her favorite treat and will follow Jedi around if he decides to pay her some attention.  She also likes taking all the toys out of the basket at night when we are all asleep and ripping off a head or an arm - typical golden girl!

More to come on Jenni in the following weeks.  Attached are a few pics of Jenni on her first trip to the outdoors this week - she did great!

Hey-O, heaay-O, it's me - Jenni O!  SNAP--Did you hear that?  It happened a couple weeks ago.  The light finally came on.  I understand how to be a RAGOM dog and is it ever fun!

First of all, I LOVE people.  I love giving kisses and I love going for a walk.  I still need my harness because I get distracted easily and sometimes take mini detours to check stuff out - so many sights and good smells.  It's a wonderful world.

I LOVE to play with toys.  Jedi and I share real well.  Sometimes there's just too much stuffing in our toys, so I take it out.  Isn't that what dogs are supposed to do?

One little tiny problem I have is that sometimes I snore.  Ok, to be honest I'm told its pretty loud and constant.
My FD complains about it, but FM just says to think of it as white noise.  They should record me for those special sound effects.  I probably sound better than the seashore or rain falling on a tin roof.

So, not much else is new in my beautiful, perfect world.  If you have trouble falling asleep because it's too quiet, maybe you should contact your placement advisor about me and we can catch some zzzzzzzzzs together!

Pleasant dreams,
Jenni

PS: I finally got some pics out of FM's camera.  Enjoy!

Heyo, Jenni-O!  That's my new name and I am singing it proud.  My Jenni D weight loss program has paid off in nylabones.  Woo hoo.  I am down 12 lbs with 9 more to go.  Let tell you, I have so much energy now.  Jedi is having a go at keeping up with me.  And I'm not so much a scaredy dog anymore.  I play people games and have discovered the outside world isn't so bad.  I LOVE taking walks and sitting in the sun.

This is the only pic we found cause I'm always on the move...

On the go!
FM has a bunch of photos of my tail and butt (which by the way is shrinking).

This is the only pic during my XXL days...

Fluffy, soft!
I have the softest coat you have ever touched.  FM says I have beautiful amber eyes. What do you think?

Let's see...what else is new? I think our house is haunted.  Every night about 1:00am, I hear noises.  I wake up FD & FM & Jedi, but they don't hear anything, so they don't believe me.  It all started about 3 lbs. ago.  Could there be a connection. Maybe if I eat more carrots it'll go away?

Ozzie's on a visit over here.  He was fostered by my FM & FD.  He is so coool.  We had a ton of fun...

The gang and me!
This is Jedi (my BFF), me, and Ozzie.  Something smells good that's not very healthy!

Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.  Gotta go chase some balls with the boys!  If you want to meet me, please let your placement advisor know.
