If you are looking for a Great Golden companion, look no further as Chipper is here!! I have had the honor of having Chipper in my home for a few days now and I'm here to tell you, this is one fantastic guy! I would love to tell you a little more about him. He has been to the vet and has a clean bill of health.
He is a lean 52 pounds, but that is a good weight for him. He has no resource guarding with toys or food. He does not counter surf. Chipper is house trained, he has not had a single accident while he has been with me. He knows how to sit, and shake for a treat, he also does not jump up on people. He does not have storm anxiety as he was doing his business outside during a thunderstorm and it didn't seem to bother him a bit. He gets along with all my dogs and cats. He has shown a little interest in my cockatiel, but is easily redirected. He is on the same feeding schedule as my dogs and cleans up every last piece of kibble, morning and night.
Chipper’s owner was experiencing a difficult time in her life and was no longer able to give him all the things she wanted to, so she asked RAGOM to find him a loving home, which I am going to do. Chipper was an only dog while with his other owner, but he is doing wonderful with all my fur kids, so I would like him to be adopted to a home with another dog. He takes a lot of his cues from them and seems more relaxed while in their company. Chipper is 3 years old and came to Iowa from Arizona, so he has never experienced snow!!
Chipper’s only "fault" is he has not had a lot of socialization and needs to be shown that he does not need to back away from new things, which is why I want him to live with another dog, someone to show him the ropes. He loves to cuddle as all of the people who helped transport him to my house will attest to! They all loved him and would have adopted him in a New York minute if they could have! If you would like to know more about Chipper, or would like to meet him in person, please contact your placement advisor and they will hook you up!!
