Everyone please welcome Violet!! If there was ever a dog that needed RAGOM, it is this sweet girl. Turned in as a stray, this girl is in need of lots of FOOD and TLC. She is estimated to be about 2 and she weighs in at 45 pounds, but you would never know it. You can see every one of her ribs and a person can almost touch fingers around her waist!
Despite this, she is an absolute doll and is one of the most loving fosters we have had! And she is such a dark red that she almost looks black......she is just beautiful. She knows basic commands so someone spent time with her at some point in her short life. She needs to be spayed before she can be adopted but the vet wants to wait a couple weeks due to her being underweight and pale gums. He feels the pale gums are probably due to her lack of nourishment and wants her to be a little healthier (and heavier) before putting her through that.
We will work on better pictures but she is so wiggly it is hard to get her to be still, but we will keep trying.

They say there is a perfect family for every foster dog and I am happy to announce that sweet, sweet Violet has found hers!! They drove 4 hours in a blizzard (one way) to meet this boney little girl and fell in love with her the minute they saw her. But then, what is not to love? She is a perfect little girl that wants nothing more than to be loved and fed and there is NO doubt in my mind that this is what she is going to get for the rest of her Golden life!

She took to this couple right off the bat and when they got ready to leave she took her leash in her mouth as if to say "Let's go! I have been waiting for you and I am ready to start the new chapter in my life". So after pictures, kisses and tears my little girl walked out into the blizzard, jumped into the car and did just that.....started her new life.

So, Steve and Maria C. I wish you lots of wonderful years with this sweet little girl! With your love and care (and of course lots of FOOD) she will become an even more beautiful golden girl than she is right now!!

And Violet, be good and grow big my "skinny minnie"!! I look forward to the day I will get to meet you again and not see the sad, boney little girl that blessed our home but instead a happy, healthy girl that is making someone else's life complete. I love you Vi and am thankful that we were allowed to play a small part in "bringing you home".

Hey everyone! Violet checking in to let you know that I am doing just great!! Mom says I am an amazing girl and I am going to make someone VERY happy! I have been hanging out with all my fur-butt brothers and sisters whom I love dearly....I can be seen going by them and giving them a kiss right on their MOUTH on a daily basis. Hey, I have lots of love and want to share it!
Mom said I am a real "chow hound".....guess that is because I just cannot get enough to eat. Foster dad had food on the counter for my newest sister, Brooke (08-589) and went out to shovel and when he came back in....it was gone. Not once, but TWICE. I tried to act all innocent...but he didn't buy it. hee hee Mom said my new home better learn to put things on top of the fridge, in the oven or ANYWHERE but on the counter.
Mom and dad bought this bowl with big bumps in it because mom said it is not acceptable to eat 2 cups of food in 10 seconds. I guess I don't agree but not much I can do about it. So now I have to work around the bumps and chase my food. She thinks it is funny to watch me push the bowl all over the kitchen when I am eating.....yeah, real funny!!
I go to the Dr. on Thursday and he is going to check me out again. Wants to make sure that I am gaining weight and if I am, I have to have some kind of surgery. I think mom called it a "spay" surgery. Not sure what that is but I think with this cute face I can probably milk that for all it's worth!! I am seeing lots of treats in my future.
Then there might be a family coming to meet me next week to make me part of their home. I heard mom saying they sounded very nice and seemed like a great place for me to go. I trust mom cause she tells me every day what a good girl I am, how much she loves and that she would not send me somewhere that wasn't just right. So, keep your fingers crossed!
I have sent some pictures. One is me showing my talent of sitting up on my bottom (if you look real close you can see that mom and I are playing and I am chewing on her hand). She is kind of a strange lady...she says I have the cutest lips and loves to play with them. Well, that is just asking to get me going!!!
One is of me in a COAT!!! She says I don't have any "meat on my bones" so I need the coat to keep warm. Geeeeze.... I am a dog! Dogs don't wear coats!
And the last one is of me starring at my sister Brooke eating her supper. She is sick and kind of finicky about eating so I just hang around in case she walks away. The way I see it, there is no sense in letting perfectly good food go to waste!!
Well, I will send an update later this week after I go to the Dr. and let you know what he says. Better go for now as it about time for Brooke to get another meal!!
