From Wilson's forever family... Wilson is getting to be a big boy in a big hurry. He weighed in at 19 pounds this morning! I keep thinking we are feeding him too much. I have read the suggested feeding amounts on the dog food bag numerous times just to make sure we are not. He is not fat, he is just growing fast. It is really fun to watch his golden personality develop. Before, when someone came in the room he would acknowledge them but you could tell he didn't really recognize anyone in particular. Now he knows exactly who we all are and he runs to the people that are his favorites. He likes to run around outside on the deck. We have a wrap around deck and he will run back and forth from the front door to the back door. He also seems to love the snow. It's funny to watch him come back to the door with his entire nose covered in snow. He enjoys walks but you have to be careful because he likes to walk where he thinks it is the safest which is right between your legs. He sneaks up from behind and puts himself between my feet and I have accidentally stepped on him a few times. He doesn't get too far on his walks before those little legs get tired and when he does he just sits down until you pick him up and carry him for awhile. He loves pillows! His favorite place to sleep at night is sprawled across a pillow that is over the top of my head and against the headboard of the bed. His favorite toy seems to be Griff, a 2 year old German Shepherd. They play for long periods of times until Wilson just can't take it anymore and has to take a nap. They share toys equally and Griff has been very gentle with Wilson. Wilson has also met the neighbor's Golden Retriever and Black Lab and has done equally well with them. In the spring all four dogs will be able to get together for countless episodes of "puppy playtime". We have some work to do on the potty training issue yet but he is showing himself to be a very intelligent dog and I am sure we will not have any problem with that as he ages a little more. He is hard to get pictures of as he just keeps moving around but we keep trying so we can show everyone how well he is doing.

Now that the Holidays and 4 birthdays are for the most part over I can sit down and write some updates:) The little pups that I saw born 6 weeks ago are huge and beautiful:) Not to mention two weeks away from being able to go to their forever homes. If you are interested in adopting one of these pups don't wait too long because there are only a couple more spots left. I will be putting more pictures up soon but I couldn't wait any longer to get their 5 week pictures on the website.
These guys are all so active now and are driving their mom crazy:) They love to sink their teeth into anything they can. I have put all sorts of chew toys in their pen. Whenever we go in to clean or play they love to chew on us and those little teeth can sting:) But it's all worth the fun of playing with them. My resident dog likes to join them in the pen and play with them too. She is like the auntie that gives poor mom a break:) Mom is still letting the snack but they are having 3-4 regular meals and drinking water too. I will have to start thinking about the weaning process soon. I'm sure Lauren won't mind too much not having those teeth on her:) I am also going to start getting them used to being crated for short amounts of time and take a trip outside when it's not too cold.

Last time I updated, Jasper was called a golden plump:) This week most of the pups have caught up with him and he is no longer self conscience about his weight:) He is a quiet pup and loves taking naps and eating. He is, like all his siblings, beautiful. They got their first bath tonight and did pretty well so they smell as good as they look:)

Wilson has become one of the cutest, biggest of the puppies. He has an absolutely beautiful face. He is a great puppy and my oldest daughter still doesn't want to give him up:) He is going to make an all around great dog, just like all of the pups. They all seem to be well adjusted - for four weeks old that is:)

Hi, I'm Wilson's big foster sister. Wilson is the nicest pup and likes to come to me to get cuddled. He will probably be really good with kids (I'm 9) once you get over the puppy mouthing. I didn't really like that with my own puppy when she was under a year old.
Wilson is in the yellow ribbon and has a little white strip on his chest. He loves to climb over the edge of the pool (his house) and explore the room and find a place to sleep that isn't as crowded. He is playful and likes to play with his brothers and sisters.
If you are interested in meeting him email placementragom [dot] org. He is my favorite of the pups:) So he can only go to a home where he will be spoiled with love, patience and time:)
