Adrina – Welcome to RAGOM!!

Adrina is from the State of Missouri.   And true to the State’s Motto – The Show Me State, Adrina has needed some training on how to walk up and down stairs, go through doorways, “kennel-up” and how to just play!!    She has two 4-legged mentor to show her the way, which has greatly helped.      The folks from Missouri would be so proud – Adrina has caught on fast.

Within 24 hours she was running up and down stairs, in and out doors.   The Kennel took a little longer but when treats are involved, quick as lightening she finds her kennel.   She is so sweet and gentle.   She loves pets and enjoys just being in my company.   She will wiggle her way in to be front and center when it is time for pets, gently pushing her fur-bother and sister out of the way.   No growling or aggressiveness – just a lot of wiggling.   She is great around new people.   She wants to meet new people but she does not jump all over someone new.   Once she knows you – that’s a different story.   She needs basic training of commands but I have no doubt she will catch on quick.

Adrina  is willing to try new things as she showed the first 24 hours she was with me.   She is curious and watches Max and Sydney to see what they are doing and then she follows suit.   Given time she will blossom into her own and not really need a 4 legged teacher to “Show her” the ropes.

Adrina is scheduled to see the Vet on Friday for a followup visit to check her progress.   She was a little underweight at 48 LbS and had an ear infection.   She needed to be dewormed – which that is all taken care of.  She  will be brought up to date on her shots.   And will be spayed in the near future as well.

Adrina is sort of a kleptomaniac.   Stealing underwear and socks.    But she is so proud when she prances around the house with them.   She is learning what she should do with sticks and balls.    At 21 months, I think of Adrina as a big puppy.   She has the puppy attitude still but in a bigger body.    It is actually a lot of fun to watch her try new things.

She is currently being Kenneled at night and while I am at work.   I am giving her a chance to settle in to her new life before giving her too much freedom.   I believe she will eventually be trusted to have free rein of the house if so desired.

She will be available to adopt in a couple of weeks but would still love to start meeting people now.   Check out Adrina’s pictures and see what a little cutie she is.

She sleeps!

My FM is at it again – taking my picture.   Doesn’t she have enough???

Adrina (Abby) would like to announce the arrival of her new pup. Yup, just one little girl. We are calling her Lucy. She arrived at 8:00 PM 9/23. Mom and pup are doing great! Abby is a really good mom and we are so proud of her. Will try to get some better pics as soon as Abby is ready, but for now she is pretty attached to her pup.

Just a few pictures to add to the update for Adrina (Abby). No puppy yet. Still could be closer to the end of the month for a due date. We're just not sure. She is looking and acting happy and healthy and is starting to get into the routine now. Was barking some at night but even that seems a done deal for the most part. She is having fun with her new sister Amber and the kids and everyone who meets her loves her and she them. Still a little shy at first but warms up pretty quickly. We'll keep you posted on the puppy status.
