We would like to introduce you all to our little peanut and newest baby member of the RAGOM family. This is Grace/Mar'tini' (Tini weeney, Peanut) We have lot's of cute names for her.  She is a 5 week old PB golden weighing in at only 2.9 pounds.  Yes she is VERY tiny...  We are just loving this little girl so much.

Grace/Martini comes from a breeder that wanted the best for her. She called RAGOM knowing that she would get the vet care she needs and would end up finding her forever family that will take the best care of her.  When she was born her mom went a little too crazy with cleaning her and ended up eating her whole paw. She is missing her front right foot.  We are not sure at this point what will have to be done about it with her still being so young.  We will see as she grows what will have to be done if anything with that shorter front leg. I will be taking her to see the Orthopedic Vet in the next couple of weeks to have her look at it and give us some ideas of what if anything needs to be done at this time.

We had a vet visit on Monday.  They were all just loving her up.  The one vet even put her in her pocket and she fit just fine.  She is in good health and was de-wormed which was a good thing because she was full of them.  She is feeling so much better now that the worms are gone.  Hopefully she will start to grow more now and put on some weight. She is eating 5 times a day right now and is a great eater.

Grace/Martini will be in foster care for a while so that she can grow and get to the age Where she can be adopted.

From Scout's (FKA Grace) forever family...

Scout (Gracie 08-368) had a great first Christmas and found some really yummy things in her stocking! She was spayed on the 23rd and did really well with that. She was 37# when she went in that morning. I am going to call for her appointment with the orthopedic doc this week or next and we will see what she says about her stump. We're hoping she will say she doesn't need surgery.

She's getting her adult hair and it's getting darker and wavy, she is a beautiful girl. She is in obedience training and she is fairly obstinate. She cannot stand the leash but she is getting better. She is a good girl though and behaves in the house. She still has to be kenneled when she is alone and she doesn't like it much but we are leaving her alone for small stretches to see if she behaves, so far it's about 50/50 :-)

Well our little peanut just keeps growing and growing.  I can't believe how much Tini has changed since she has been here.  We are now down to 4 feedings a day.  When she first came she was getting fed
every 3 hours.  She is also now eating puppy food (Kibbles).  I still add water to soften it up a little but she does really well.  She also started drinking water by itself this week.  We have a another vet appointment on Monday to get her shots so it will be interesting to see how much she weighs.

Tini gets along great with her shorter leg.  She uses it in the grass sometimes but when she runs on the cement she holds it up and just hops along on 3 legs.  She really uses that leg when playing with her toys so I'm not sure what if anything will ever have to be done with it.  She may be just fine since she has learned on her own not to use it on hard surfaces. Time will tell.  We are having so much fun with this little girl.  She could be a "Foster failure" Puppy for me. If I could keep her knowing I could continue to foster I would but I know I can't.  I know there is a great home out there waiting for her.  Tini is a sweet little thing with so much to give to her new family.

Tini needs a family that will have a lot of time to spend with her. She is a puppy and a very little one at that.  She gets along great with my dogs so another dog would be OK as long as they are not aggressive with puppies since she is so small. She gets a little afraid at dogs if they come at her fast.   She loves kids so kids over 10 would be a great thing too.  She is a puppy so I think she could adapt to a fence or no fence.  She will need training (Puppy Preschool) and then obedience or just someone to work with her teaching her all of the commands.  We are starting to do that with her now and she responds great with treat rewards.  Tini is a great puppy that loves to snuggle and give kisses.  If you are looking for a puppy to spend time with, teach, and love contact placement.
